1st september,1995..the day which I was born at a primitive hospital of chagai. The whole Farooki became dull because Iam a girl*.They consider girls as curse to a family,an exact burden.Even my father cried to see his second child too a girl. But,on the hospital bed, like all other babies I cried aloud..unknown of other's situation..
Baapu took me in his hands and caressed my forehead with his lips..
and after reciting azan on my both ears..he poured my name on my right ear 'Inaaya' which means 'care'..
I glanced everywhere with my baby eyes and I heard someone say
"she will conquer the world..with her enthusiastic glance..I pretend"
Then I held my Baapu's hand tight enough that he couldn't take off easily.
"Mashallah..mera beti bohoth thakathwar hei.."
He said with a concern smile..I have grown 2 years bigger..running here and there.climbing mounds with
neighbour friends..all the village people critisized and blamed ummi for leaving me and blamed ummi for living me out.."Deko,no girls went out in our village's
History..but now vo chirkut is the leader of other kids..why cant Fahma preserve her child in a good way.."When their talks became too much for, ummi became intolerant and in presence of me she argued at them..
"meri beti kya karthi hei..kyu karthi hei.. vo sabh kuch muje patha hei..
And I dont need anyone to look after my child..she is strong enough than anyone in this village..and if you are scaring any danger on her that wont happen ever..she is able to confront any power.."Actually even if I was too little to get anything,I understood every single meaning and was much inspired by ummi's statements..after that I was free from any blames..And the word 'power' retrated in my mind..
One day I went to a friend's house and we played hide and seek.I climbed upstairs and saw the blacony open.So moved out and climbed up on iron ladder, that was rusted too..very long that I could not reach at the top.
climbed and climbed..I had already forgotten the game..and was trying to explore whats there on top of this ladder..when I looked down to earth
I was shocked by the sight!!Villagers are crowded there and shouting me to climb down..A women said "hey rabbal alameen..vaham deko ek teen sal ke bachi kitni uper..what will happen if she fall..."
And many of them came to me and evicted down. I saw an exxited face of my baapu between the people..I ranned to him..he was reddened with anger too..I said with my little voice.."baapu..kya hei waham ke uper?
I wanted to know so I climbed.."By seeing my apologized cute face he smiled and said
"subhanallah..meri chuntu jo thum itne uper se gira tho kya hoga?!vaham ek borewell hei! I donno why you are doing such adventures..come lets go home.."
He raised me up and caressed my curly hair with lots of care and scare too...
