You were at a party with a couple friends who you ended up losing in the crowd of people. You decided to go outside to get some fresh air. As you sat on the steps hearing the music blast from the house you heard footsteps come from behind you.
"What's a pretty girl like you doing out here by herself?" You heard the person say who was now walking down the steps smoking a cigarette. You looked up and saw it was the new guy from your school. You've seen him in the halls and the parking lot of school, you could tell he was a troublemaker.
"Just needed some fresh air" you said as you looked down at your shoes.
"I'm Billy by the way" he said as he took a final puff from his cigarette and put it out on the ground.
"Y/n" you said with a small smile. Even though you knew he was trouble you couldn't help but feel butterflies in your stomach as he continued to talk to you.
"I've seen you around school. You always catch my eye every time" he said leaning against the railing of the steps. This made you blush a little as you looked away from him not wanting him to notice.
"Um yeah I've seen you around too. You drive pretty wildly in the parking lot" you said with a small chuckle. He laughed too as he continued to look at you.
There was a moment of silence before you stood up deciding that it was time for you to go and find your friends again.
"I'm going to go and try to find my friends. It was nice meeting you, Billy" you said with a smile as you started to go up the steps.
"Wait" Billy said making you turn around.
"How about I take you for dinner one night? I promise I won't drive crazy like in the school parking lot" he said with a big smile. You bit your lip thinking about if you should go since you didn't really know him.
"Yeah, I'd like that" you said as a smile grew on your face deciding to just take a risk and go to dinner with him.
"Great. I'll call you then" Billy said. The two of you exchanged numbers and you went back inside still with the same smile on your face as when you agreed to go with him.
