Congrats to Hagrid and Finally Home

It felt like it had been forever when Dumbledore finally gave the word that it was time for us all to go to bed. Of course, we took the chance that we had as everyone slowly cleared out of the Great Hall. "Congratulations, Hagrid!" Hermione squealed as we reached the teachers' table. I smiled. "All down ter you four," Hagrid said, wiping his shining face on his napkin as he looked at us. "Can' believe it... great man, Dumbledore... came straight down to me hut after Professor Kettleburn said he'd had enough... It's what I always wanted..." Hagrid told us, becoming so emotional, he buried his face in his napkin. I gave him a hug before Professor McGonagall shooed us away. 

We then joined the stream of Gryffindors headed up the marble staircase, down the corridors, and up more stairs toward the tower. Of course, by the time we all got to the tower, we were all very tired and ready to just fall asleep. We finally got to the entrance to Gryffindor Tower, where the portrait of the Fat Lady, who is in a pink dress, inquired the password of us. "Coming through, coming through!" Percy called from behind us all. I started to shake my head. Power-hungry git. "The new password's Fortuna Major!" he said. "Oh no," Neville said sadly. The poor kid had a memory of a squirrel when it comes to the passwords.

After we went through the portrait hole and Percy gave that damned speech saying where the dorms are and that their stuff would be waiting for them, we went up to our rooms, going up the staircases. 

After I climbed the staircase, I walked to the room that had my name on it. Looks like I'm rooming with Hermione, Ginny, Padma, and Lavender. I apparently have the bed right next to the window, which is such a relief. I pulled back the curtain on the four-poster bed and sat on my bed, petting Artemis as I waited for the other girls to go into the bathroom to change. It was just something we are accustomed to doing. As Ginny went into the bathroom, I looked around at the people and things around me. I sighed as I thought... Home at last.
