Uni's POV
I looked out into the forest curiously waiting for this mystery person. Could it be...? Probably not but I hope it is.

Jon skipped out of the woods dragging a boy behind him. That boy was my best friend.
Cory.

He was sweating and his face was cherry red.
So was I my stomach swirled with butterflies. Tears ran down my cheek. Jon pushed him towards me.

"Uhh... Hey Uni, it's me... Cory," he smiled awkwardly. I didn't know what to say. I just stared at him. "I'm sorry, I know I left but... I didn't want to I never wanted to. It was just... a part of the rules. I know it hurt you, it hurt me too. Let's just... ya know start over. But I can't just be your friend I need to find with myself first.  Ugh I'm not really good at this," he explained to me.

"Alright," I managed to get that one word out.

"Really?" Cory asked. I knew I couldn't give him just a one word response.

"Yeah, I would like to do that, but it's going to take some time for... the both of us," I replied,  "And I forgive you,"

"Thank you," He smiled, "my acquaintance," he joked around. We chuckled at the word.

"So why did you have to leave? You said there was some kind of rule-" I was interrupted by an obnoxious jester.

"Wait what does "acquaintance" mean?" Jon asked.

"Ugh It's hard to explain," I groaned. For the rest of the day we played and ran around. We also had to figure out where we were going to hide our three new friends.

Again very short but I decided to actually write a little. Hope you are all well and healthy. I am actually feel fine right now as I right this. But quarantine sucks especially for my mental health. Didn't know I was this extroverted. Well actually the summers knew that. Today and yesterday were good/decent though.
Have a good day/night! Stay inside and wash your hands!
P.s. it's 12:18 am so if whatever I wrote doesn't make sense that's why.
