Many days pass by since the four once-dead skeletons had returned. Dream, Blueberry and Error are yet to wake up.
Cross sits beside Dream, gently stroking his cheekbone. He appears to be singing again, still too quiet for you to make out the words. A cold chill flows through the room from the night outside. Cross shivers, curling up slightly.
There is a knock on the door.
"Come in," Cross mumbles.
Fell walks in, holding a plate of freshly cooked fish. He wonders over and places the plate on the table, beside another untouched plate of food.
"Sci has a reason why he can't swallow," Fell commented. "You don't."
"Is grieving not a reason?"
"You need to take care of yourself if you want to be around when Dream wakes up."
Cross sighs, leaning over and kisses Dream's foreskull. He then takes the plate of fish and takes a small bite. Fell stands there for a moment, examining Dream, then turns to leave.
"Hey Fell?" Cross quickly says.
Fell stops. "Yeah?"
"Thanks."
"No problem. Take care of yourself. I hope Dream wakes up soon."
Then Fell left, closing the door behind him. Cross started practically ripping into his fish, not realising how hungry he was until that point.
Around two hours pass by. You hear that many are beginning to return to their cabins for the night. Cross looks tired. He looks about ready to drift off to sleep, until he hears a murmur come from Dream.
Dream's eye sockets flutter open, his golden eye lights flashing into being. Cross doesn't appear to know how to react. Dream sits up and looks directly at Cross.
"D...Dream?" Cross mumbles.
Dream smiles slightly. "Hey Cross..."
Cross takes Dream into a tight embrace, spreading loving kisses over his neck. Dream appears to be a little confused.
"What happened?" Dream asks.
"It doesn't matter," Cross answers, sounding as if he were on the verge of crying. "You're awake. You're safe..."
Dream blinks, then returns the hug.
"I love you Dream. I love you so, so, so much."
"I love you too, Cross... Though I still don't know what's going on."
"I'll tell you in the morning, ok?"
"Ok..." A pale blush appears on Dream's cheekbones. "I'm, uh... I'm also a little hungry."
Cross pulls away from the hug. "Come on. I know where we can get you something to eat."
The other two appear to have also waken up.
