Two weeks later

Recently, Jisoo and Jennie have been meeting a lot, but it was just because of Han Jae. Jiwon needed to be admitted to the hospital and Han Jae was on a term break. Jisoo had took her leave to take care of Jiwon and so she couldn't bring Han Jae along as Jiwon was being quarantined, children wasn't allowed to go near. It was Han Jae who requested himself to go to find Jennie.

After Jennie agreed, Han Jae followed Jisoo to the hospital everyday and Jisoo would drop him off at Jennie's ward first only go to Jiwon's ward. Then, around dinner time, Jisoo would come to Jennie's ward to bring Han Jae back.

Han Jae was always a lovely child. Sometimes they watched the television together, sometimes they coloured together, sometimes they played together, they did a lot of things.

Jennie didn't realise but her gummy smile was back on her face more and more often now.

Ever since she knew she was sick, Jennie had spent all her time slumbering in her own thoughts, letting herself have nothing to look forward to everyday, not understanding why is she even alive. But since Han Jae came, Jennie suddenly had something to look forward to everyday.

Han Jae was already Jennie's little bundle of joy, she loved the kid so much.

Jennie thought her body was getting better and better, she kinda felt better.

Technically, her mental situation was really getting better, being more optimistic and happier day by day, but her physical situation wasn't.

Nobody knew, it was until that day when Jennie suddenly fainted and Han Jae quickly called Lisa. Then, she was immediately sent into the scanning room.

The report came out soon and Taeyeon immediately brought it to Jennie's ward, for them to read, knowing they've all been very worried. When Rosé read it, she couldn't help but tears started trickling out.

She didn't want to cry, she didn't want to let Jennie know, but she couldn't hold it back.

"How's it?" Nayeon worriedly asked

Rosé lifted her head and met the calm eyes of Jennie, she simply shook her head and left the room.

Taeyeon picked up the reporter and started scanning through, both Nayeon and Jennie saw her face getting darker and darker. When it seems like she had already finished, Jennie softly asked:

"How am I Doctor Kim?"

Taeyeon closed her eyes and took a deep breathe, as much as she didn't want to tell Jennie the truth, she couldn't, she's a doctor, she have to answer the patient.

Taeyeon opened her eyes and said:

"Jennie, you need a transplant, as soon as possible"

"How soon?" Jennie asked

The three of them all knew what Jennie was asking, she was asking how much time she have left.

Taeyeon paused for a few seconds before she came up with the answer:

"One month"
