Maddy gets up from bed to get ready for her work, her pet cat Kibbles picks an outfit for her. A denim jeans, Grey sweater and a fresh pair of black shoes. Maddy goes downstairs where her stepsister Jenna is waiting to taunt her.
"Wow! is that the ugliest thing I've seen you wear or what"?
Maddy ignores her and goes in the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone. Laura decides to help out with Maddy's chores but like always, her mother Diana stops her and tells her that she was not born to do such things. Laura pouts towards her mom begging her to help Maddy. Diana rolls her eyes and lets Laura do what she wanted. Diana calls Jenna "Go take all your sisters stuff and put it in Maddy's room".
"But mom why in that disgusting room where that brat sleeps"? Jenna asked her mother with confusion.
Diana gives Jenna a stare which is basically her way of telling people to do what she asked or else they're dead meat. Maddy serves the breakfast and leaves for work.
"Hey! lets get to work before Mr. Conner finds us lurking around without the magical costumes". Lia says to Maddy in an excited voice.
The girls go in the tent to get their elf costumes on and notice that their is someone else with them and he is trying to wear the Santa costume but is unable to get the stuffing in to look like traditional Santa. Mr. Conner enters the tent and introduces the unknown person
"Girls this is Austin W..." Conner says but gets interrupted "Just Austin, I heard its bad luck to tell your last name". Austin interrupts.
"Anyway, Girls this is Austin and Austin this is Maddison and Lia" Mr. Conner continues.
Austin smirks towards Maddy. "Well isn't this splendid, we just got a new Santa, how can these little elves serve you"? Lia asks while giving Maddy a cringy grin. They all laugh and Austin asks "How to wear this uncomfortable thing"? "Just take out the pillows, I mean it will look really weird but lets give the kids a chance to be curious about how Santa lost weight over the year". Maddy tells Austin.
Mr. Conner enters and asks the kids to come out or else he will fire them. They all run out laughing. Lia goes up on stage and sings one of the songs that Maddy wrote for that Christmas. Maddy joins her friend without hesitation and sings the song along. The kids love the song that Lia and Maddy sang. Maddy looks at the time and runs in the tents quickly and dresses up back to the clothes she wore when she came. Austin sees her without her costume and gets intrigued by her beauty. Maddy notices that Austin has seen her without her costume and runs home.
The steps get mad because Maddison was 5 minutes late and start lecturing her to be more punctual.
"I'm sorry, it won't happen again its just that Conner told us to stay behind to welcome the new Santa".
The steps didn't care so Maddy went to her room and was shocked by the mess she saw there. "Mom didn't like me helping you so she sent me up here to live with you, now I know what its like to be you". Laura said in a sad tone from the door.
Maddison offers Laura to sleep on the bed while she'll sleep on the couch, at first Laura denies but Maddy finally gets her to agree. "Hey Laura"? Maddy called out to Laura. "Yeah"? Laura asked.
"Can I tell you a secret"? Maddy asks fearing if she could trust Laura. "Sure, its not like I have anyone to tell it to and plus you're like my sister so I'd never tell a single soul". Laura replies in a sweet and soft tone.
"Well, the new Santa at the Christmas Land, he is so cute and I can't stop thinking about him". Maddison tells Laura with full confidence. Laura in shock asks more details as she never thought that Maddison was the crushing type, "What's his name"?
"Its Austin but he didn't let us know his last name cause he thought it was bad luck".
