I walked into my room and dropped my bag in my floor and fell onto my bed. School had really worn me out today. I checked the time, and realized I needed to get ready for dance. I grabbed my dance attire and my shoes and threw them in a bag. I grabbed my keys and drove to The Art Of Dance, our local dance studio. First class, I had jazz. I really liked my jazz class. All the people in there are so good and a wonderful group of people. We all get along really well, and we all consider each other as sisters. I let the music carry me away in my dance. After class I prepared getting ready for my pointe class. I had pointe with my best friend, Lennon. She doesn't go to my school, so we have a lot of fun when we are together. After pointe was over, I was getting ready to go home when my pointe instructor pulled me aside.
"Maisy, you did really good tonight, I see you have been practicing," she said.
Pointe was my weaker of the two classes, and it made me really happy that she noticed.
"Actually I have. This summer we turned our basement into a dance room."
"That's wonderful! Keep up the good work and you might even get to be in our big spring program."
"Thanks, I will!" I exclaimed as I left.
Oh how I longed a spot in the spring program. Only the best of the best seniors got to be in it. It would be an amazing oppertunity since many scouts from numerous ballet schools attend.
The next morning I woke up and got ready for school. I let my naturally wavy hair fall down just below my sholders. I finished getting ready and put on a sweater with leggings and a pair of uggs. I loved fall weather, because the outfits I have for fall are by far my favorite. I got into my car and plugged in my iPhone. A Rocket to the Moon's album starting playing. What a great way to start out my morning. I got to school and went to my locker. I pulled out my book and notebook for my first period and shut my locker. I started walking to my class when the next thing I know I'm lying on the floor with my things spread out all over. I saw a tanned, muscular hand (yes hands can look muscular) reach down to help me up. I followed the hand all the way up to his face, and saw his baby blues staring in my eyes. I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up. We both bent down collecting my things. He handed them to me.
"Sorry about that," he said, "Next time I should be more careful."
"Don't worry about it, I'm okay."
"I'm Conner," he said.
Yes, Conner Morell, captain of the swim team had just ran me over in the hall, and now he is talking to me. Things like this don't happen to nobodys like myself everyday.
"I'm Maisy," I replied.
"Don't we have Anatomy together?" he asked.
"Yeah, we do!"
"I thought so. Well I need to get to class, see you later, Maisy."
I walked to my first period class with a grin on my face, I probably looked like a fool, but exciting things literally never happen to me.
Third period rolled along, Anatomy. I went in there and took my seat. The bell rang and Mrs. Aaron walked in. I had zoned out while she was giving a lecture, but she got my attention when she mentioned a partner project. I hated those. I'm always the shy person who nobody partners up with.
"This time I'm picking your partners," she said.
Oh...good, I guess.
She had named off several names and then she called out mine.
"Maisy, you will be working with Conner."
Is this Everything-intresting-happen-to-Maisy day or something?
