The Truth

Dan's POV

Did I go too far? Dan wondered the night after the tickle fight. He was worried that he had shown to much; revealed too many of his feelings. Why am I even hiding this? He thought to himself. I mean I've lived with Phil for ages now and so many times I've wanted to tell him. But he knew deep down that he could never do anything to make Phil feel awkward or uncomfortable. To be honest, Dan didn't really even know what his feeling for Phil were! He knew that he liked Phil and sometimes he felt like he wanted, no, needed to be with Phil.

Dan was a confused mess. He stayed up all that night listening to Muse and interneting to take his mind off it. At about 3am he realised this wasn't something he could ignore any longer.

He decided to go for a walk into town, he always loved big cities really late at night. How you could be totally and completely alone in one of the busiest places. He walked to his favourite spot: on the top of a steep hill. Dan loved the way that from here he could look out across the whole of London. All the gleaming street lights manage to be so commonplace and yet so beautiful when you can see all of them clustered around this huge city.

Dan sighed as he gazed on the beauty of this ugly urban city. He knew he needed to think things over in his head, to finally take the time to figure out his feelings towards Phil.

"Well, I know I REALLY like him," Dan said aloud "but do I like him more than I'm admitting to?" Dan had been with girls in the past, and he'd enjoyed it, he never imagined he would have feelings for a guy! But the feelings he had for those girls were superficial, with Phil it was deeper, it was more meaningful, it was... different.

He woke up early the next morning by the sound of bird calls.

"Shit!" he exclaimed realising he had fallen asleep on the hill. He picked himself up off the pavement and brushed himself off. His hands moved towards his pockets with dread, fearing the worst, but amazingly nothing had been stolen!

He looked around awkwardly to check if anyone had seen him get up, no one was around. He checked his iPhone and saw that it was only 6am on a Sunday! No wonder no one was around.

Dan decided that today was the day. He was going to tell Phil.
