{Shanes Pov}
I didn't want to be too straight forward with anything. So I wanted to start the conversation with small talk. I walked nervously to his desk and stood in front of it, next to the chair.
Joey: Please, take a seat.
Joey gestured his hand to the chair, and I quickly sat down.
Small talk. Small talk. Small talk.
Shane: So, your pretty proud about this piece of metal, huh?
Joey was looking at his computer quickly.
Joey: I'm proud of a lot of metal things, Shane. Which are you talking about?
I started to blush for some reason. Why was I taking everything he said so dirty?
Shane: w-What?
I stuttered. Joey looked back up I me from his computer and blushed too.
Joey: I uh, mean, uh, trophies and stuff.
Shane: Oh. I meant this one.
I said pointing to his postion award that was on his desk.
Joey picked it up and smiled at it.
Joey: One of my biggest accomplishments. My dad owned this corporation before me, and it got passed down. We've made multi- millions of dollars. I guess we got lucky.
Shane: What's that like?
Joey looked at me confused.
Shane: I mean, what's it like to have a lot of money your whole life?
Joey stared at his desk blankly.
Joey: It got lonely a lot of times. My dad working in his office all day, and my mom having affairs and all. Money cant buy company. Maybe that's why I'm so messed up.
Joey chuckled at the last part.I looked down at my feet. This whole thing was personal and confusing.
Shane: I was pretty lonely too. My dad abused my mom, my brothers and I. Of course they were older, so they moved out before they could see the worst of it. Then when my mom divorced my dad, that's when we got really poor, and I got really lonely. My mom would work all day at two different jobs, and I stayed at home alone. So don't worry, I'm pretty fucked up too.
Joey smirked.
Joey: You don't know what fucked up is until you've seen all of me.
He seems so dark and mysterious. I just want to know more.
Shane: What's, uh, whats in the closet?
Joey: Well my sexual orientation until I was sixteen.
Joey smiled a cheesy smile.
Shane: Come on. We're friends now. I won't judge you.
Joey: Just friends?
Shane: Okay. Friends with benefits. Now will you just show me?
Joey shook his head.
Joey: You would see how fucked up and gross and terrible I am. It's a pretty dark side for me.
Shane: Please, I promise. Whatever it is, I won't think its gross or fucked up, unless there's twenty dead bodies in there which I don't think there is. But if there is and I'm your next victim, so be it. Just tell me please!
Joey rubbed his neck.
Joey: I don't know...
Shane: Fine. I'll look myself.
I got up and pretended to hurry to the door leading into the room. Joey grabbed my arm.
Joey: Fine! Fine! I'll show you! Just, you don't know what you're about to see, and you don't know what you're gonna get yourself into.
Shane: Just show me!
Joey: Fine! Fine.
We walked slowly into the door of the room, and made a turn for the other curtain just like I suspected, there was a door behind it too. But this one had a lock. Joey slowly pulled out a key from his back pocket.
Joey: Do you really want to know? You have no idea.
Shane: Whatever it is, I trust you. I trust you with everything.
Joey put the key in the lock, and slowly turned the door handle open. What I saw next, shocked me. But concluded my suspicions. Times ten.
