Mercury

(Next morning)

"Dear diary, 

Its been a long crazy trip. It feels like this is all some kind of nightmare. Our only home is gone. Now were up in space trying to find a planet to live on. It's like some kind of si-fi horror film you'd see on T.V. Right now were headed for Mercury. Its ben so long since we left Venus. It feels like years. well, that's all i have for now. - Maya"

Oliver looked out his window and his eyes watered. "Wow" The sun was huge. Incredibly huge. "Oliver look away! Your'e going to hurt your eyes!"He turned around and had bright red eyes. He couldn't see. "How are we supposed to be here when it makes everyone blind?!" "I'm not sure. We probably won't be here for long." Alexander couldn't bare to be away from his home. Just like Maya, it was a nightmare to him.

"Attention everyone..  We are now stopping at Mercury. Before we stop, there are a few things I need to inform you about. First of all- there are huge craters that you need to be very cautious of. They are extremely deep and you can possibly fall in and get hurt, so be careful. Secondly- You will be given a pair of high-tech sunglasses that will protect your eyes from the sun. It appears a lot better than your used to seeing. If you look directly at the sun, you will be permanently blind."

As each person was given a pair of sunglasses, they started stepping out of the spacecraft. The craters were absolutely humonges. As soon a Julia looked up at the space around her, she could feel her eyes start to water. She was going blind, even with the glasses. She shoved everyone out of the way and ran to the head caretaker. They couldn't be staying there for much longer.

The head caretaker came on the speaker: " Unfortunetely we have to leave as soon as possible. This planet is no where near the protection we need to survive. We will be heading to Mars next."
