When me and Cinnamon got home, I immediately jumped onto my bed and just lay there for a second before deciding I should probably get up and do something. I let Cinnamon off her lead and walk down the fridge. I grab an apple and pour myself a glass of water before heading into the living room. I live alone so I can basically do whatever I want. I turn on Netflix and decide to watch 'You'.
After a few episodes, my phone starts to ring with a number that I don't recognise.
"Hello?" I answer wearily,
"Hi, It's Emerson!"
"Oh hi Emerson! How are you?" I can hear him smile,
"I'm good. I just wanted to know if you wanted to hang out sometime? I'm sure the dogs want to see each other again." I look over at my calendar but as always it is empty all month.
"Yeah sure."
"What are you up to now?" It goes silent for a moment before Emerson talks again, "It doesn't- SEBASTIAN GIVE ME BACK MY EYELINER!" I laugh slightly.
"What was that.." I say still laughing, he sighs.
"That was my idiotic brother... REMINGTON SHUT YOUR FAT GOB." This time I burst out laughing, "Anything like I was saying, it doesn't matter if your busy right now, I'm just bored."
"Lucky for you, I'm not busy." I smile, "Do you wanna hang out at my house?"
"I was thinking we could hang out by my pool? My brother's won't be here don't worry. It seems like too much of a nice day to miss out!" I smile,
"That sounds amazing. Message me your address and I'll be there soon!" We say bye and he ends the call.
I know we have only known each other for a few hours but I feel like we could be friends. Maybe we can if we hang out more, who knows.I turn my TV off and walk upstairs before grabbing my baby blue bikini and a sun hat. I place them into a beach bag and I grab my sunglasses and sun cream and put them into the bag too. I then grab Cinnamon and put her on her lead,
"We're going out again girl." She jumps up and licks my knees before sitting down so I can attach the lead to her collar. I rub her belly as a thank you. I check my phone to read Emerson's message, luckily he only lived 30 minutes away.
"Let's go girl" I say grabbing my phone and keys and walking out of the door.
*SKIP 30 MINS*
I raise my hand to knock on Emerson's door. He immediately answers,
"Hey." I smile and wave awkwardly, "The pool is this way." I nod and he leads me to his backyard where has the biggest pool I have ever seen.
Pepper comes running until Cinnamon and licks her more than I've ever seen a dog lick anyone before. I smile at them,
"Where's your bathroom, I need to change?" I say shyly. He points to a door to our right and I walk into it. I can see eyeliner and boys underwear everywhere. It was quite a funny sight really.
I change into my bikini and grab my brush from my bag. I pull my hair into french braids and pull on my sunhat and sunglasses. I decide to redo my eyeliner (which was water-proof) but only just to touch up). I smile at my appearance and through on an oversized t-shirt that I can wear until we get into the pool.
I walk out of the bathroom to see Emerson sitting on a sun lounger with Cinnamon and Pepper on his lap.
"Mind if I take a photo of that?" He nods and goes back to doing what he was doing. I grab my phone and snap a quick photo of them. I show Emerson,
"You gotta send me that. It's perfect." I smile and send it to him. I think for a moment before saying,
"How did you get my number?" His face blushes red,
"It was linked in your instagram bio..." This time, it was my turn to blush red.
"Ohh. Forgot about that."
We talk for a little while before we decide to get into the pool. I pull the shirt off and slide in. He does the same. It gets slightly awkward so to break the awkwardness I turn around and splash him right in face. He does the same and it ends in the most epic water fight I've ever had. I was laughing so much that I was crying and just when we thought it couldn't get more fun, the dogs jumped in and started splashing each other with water. It was probably the most fun I've ever had. I look behind Emerson's head to see a man I've never seen before holding a camera up to us and I scream. Emerson immediately looks behind him and sighs,
"Remington. Stop being a perv and introduce yourself." The man steps forward,
"I'm sorry for scaring you.. I'm Remington.. Emerson's brother. My girlfriend just broke up with me so I came home. I won't bother you anymore." A wave of sympathy washes over me and I get out of the water,
"I'm Natalia. And no need to apologise! I'm just a bit jumpy." I suddenly get the urge to make this man feel better so I hugged him. He hugged me back and before he had much time to react I threw myself into the water with him in tow. He screams,
"What was that for?" Me and Emerson laugh.
*SKIP 2 HOURS*
"Thank you for today, I really enjoyed it." I said to Emerson and Remington. I had got to know them both pretty well after today.
"It's okay. We should do this again sometime." We all hug each other and I wave goodbye before walking out of the door.
Remington gave me his number so that we could stay in touch. I like those boys, their pretty nice. Maybe we can be friends after all.
