Vengeance is in my heart, death in my hand, Blood and revenge are hammering in my head.

"Do you know the names of all of your maids?" Asked Annie one morning as she and Claire lounged out beside the pool.

"Yeah, well except Lucy and Julia are sisters who I swear could be twins and sometimes I get them mixed up."

"Do you know the one with long brown hair who collects our washing?"

"Oh, Robin. Yeah, she is lovely." Annie smiled slightly and jumped in the pool.

"You bitch." Shouted Claire as she was splashed by her friend before she followed her into the pool.

As they climbed out of the water and went inside they were greeted by Diane and James' mother. The pair happily talked over coffee while the girls walked past them.

"Are they friends?" Whispered Claire who was very confused.

"Maybe, that's kinda odd though. You should call James."

Claire was at James' house. Not sneaking in, not meeting him outside. No, she was going through the front door like a normal person in a normal relationship and it felt weird.

"Good Morning Miss. Whiting. May I help you?" Asked who Claire presumed was the Dancy's butler. He wore a neat suit that didn't look over the top.

"Could you please show me to James' room?"

"Of course, please follow me. Is he expecting you?"

"No, it's more a surprise. I just wanted to see him." Replied Claire as she followed the butler through the maze of a house.

The place was darker and more traditional to what Claire was used to. Her home was all white marble with the modern layout that Diane adored. She liked high ceilings and open spaces.

The Dancy mansion was far darker. Dark wooden features were everywhere and the mansion felt like a maze with the few windows and the long twisting corridors. Large paintings in golden frames were hung all over the walls. The whole place felt very gothic.

The butler came to an abrupt stop in front of a door and quickly knocked on it.

"Who is it?" Called James from inside his room.

"It is Adam. I have a package for you, James. I can just leave it outside your door if you would prefer."

"Yeah, that would be great."

"Lovely, just a reminder you're mother wants you downstairs for dinner tonight."

"Okay, thanks."

"Have a lovely day Miss. Whiting." Said Adam before he left Claire to James.

It only took a minute before the door was opened and a shirtless James appeared. His face lit up at the sight of his girlfriend and he pulled her inside his room.

James shirtless what hardly a new sight for Claire. Even so, her heart still fluttered slightly at his muscular torso.

"What are you doing here?" Asked James as he pulled in Claire and hugged her.

"Just wanted to see you really."

James hummed in approval as he bent down to connect his lips with Claire's.

The pair spent a few hours watching films together while just relaxing in the other's company.

Claire had to pull herself away from James when her phone began to ring.

"Who is it?" Asked James as Claire wasn't answering her phone.

"It's my Dad." James gave Claire a look of confusion. Claire answered the phone.

"Hey, Dad, how are you?"

"I'm good." Said Claire's father through the phone. "Are you at the Dancy Mansion?"

"Yeah James and I just wanted to talk about what is happening in our lives."

"Good, come downstairs. I'm in a meeting with Brian."

"Oh okay."

"Bring James with you." Snapped Claire's father as he hung up the phone.

"What was that about?" Asked James as Claire began to quickly adjust her appearance in the mirror.

"My father is downstairs."

"Are you serious?"

"Yup and he wants to see us both, now." James threw on a shirt and the pair rushed downstairs.

"Where would they be?" Asked Claire and James grabbed her hand and led her to a set of doors. He squeezed her hand tightly before dropping it and taking a small step away from her.

Claire knocked on the door and the doors opened to reveal a large meeting room filled with businessmen in suits.

"Good morning gentlemen. How is your day going Dad?" Asked Claire as her voice became sickly sweet while she went to hug her father. She felt dressed down in just a skirt and a simple blouse but she hopped the designer purse and shoes would make up for it.

"I'm doing well Doll Face. We were just talking about you and James."

"All good things I hope."

"No one ever has bad things to say about you, you're an angel." Claire smiled and laughed at the statement.

"You are too kind Dad." Claire's father lightly pinched her cheek and then continued the conversation about the companies merging while Claire obediently stood behind her father's chair.

When one of the men said something Claire watched as her father stood up, pulled out his gun, and then shot the man in the chest.

Claire took a deep breath in and a deep breath out as she tried to stop herself from screaming. The man was dead. Shot right in the chest by her own father. The blood was seeping into the carpet. The blood was ruining the carpet.

"I'm sorry you had to see that doll face." Said Claire's father as he pinched her chin.

"That's okay Dad. Do you mind if I go back upstairs? I feel like I am interrupting the meeting." Smiled Claire as she looked up at her father.

"Of course darling." Claire hugged her father and began to leave the room. "Oh and Claire." Claire froze in front of the door. "Don't tell your mother about this."

"Of course not Dad. There is no sense in stressing her out over something like this."

Once Claire got out of the room she let James lead her back to his room while she just tried not to shake.

As soon as the door shut behind them Claire broke. She collapsed into James' arms while she sobbed hysterically. She gripped his back while her face was buried in his chest.

It took what felt like hours for Claire's sobs to stop. She was still crying and shaking but the loud heartbreaking sobs had stopped.

James lifted Claire up into his arms and she wrapped her legs around him as he carried her to his bed. The weight of the blankets wrapped around her and James holding her tightly calmed Claire.

"One day we will get revenge for all the people they have hurt." Whispered James and Claire entwined their fingers.

"Promise?"

"Of course."
