Chapter 4

~The Next Day~

In the middle of morning, a red chariot just arrive from the Acorn Kingdom. "I am Prince Elias Acorn, here by invitation of the Queen..." he told the guards before they bow to him. He sigh and look to his sister, Princess Sally. She have an orange hair and blue eyes. She was also wearing a yellow dress with white gloves on both of her arms in forearm length while wearing a gold tiara that has so red ruby rocks on the center.

"For the last time Elias, yes..." she responded harshly before they enter the castle.

Meanwhile with Sonic, he soon woke up and start doing his routine. After he finish, someone knock on his door. "Ummm... come in..." he try to sound formal but he sigh in relief when one of his friends show up. It's Knuckles. "Knux! Perfect timing!" He greeted. "I just finish the double flip move dad show me..." he added.

"Well done, your highness..." he responded as he bow a bit. Sonic's smile dropped and stand up from his bed, "Your highness? Why had a sudden formality? It's just me..." he explain with slight upset in his tone.

"Queen Sapphire sent me. Apparently, the royal siblings from Acorn Kingdom just arrived with a gift for you..." he announce. "Sally and Elias?... They're here already?..." he whisper to himself in sadness. Knuckles didn't respond back, which cause him to look down in defeat. I guess it will be sooner than I expected... he thought.

"On behalf of my sister, Princess Sally, I present this engagement gift to you..." Elias chant before he bow and show the king and queen a box with a blue string. Queen Sapphire smile and open it, revealing a crystal white ring with diamonds decorated everywhere.

"Oh! Thank you Prince Elias~ My son, King Sonic will be quite pleased..." She said as she glance to her husband sitting on the throne. Kaze just sigh before he hold the bridge of his nose in nervousness. Sally smirk and look at the picture frame beside her, seeing Sonic smiling as he point his sword shining where the sun is.

"May I require your excellency if you already absurd a date before the wedding?" Prince Elias ask. Sapphire was about to answer but Kaze spoke first. "We are not sure yet if the wedding will be happening or not... I will let my son choose his bride..." he said as he stand up from his throne.

"W-What?" Elias ask in shock. So does Sally as she stomped her foot from the ground. "Kaze..." his wife glare at him but he still continue, "Since you arrive here, might as well stay for a while as the other kingdom represent their daughters for my son's marriage..." he finish.

"O-Of course, King Kaze..." Elias agreed and take a bow before following the maid to the guest room. Sally just growl and follow her brother. Once they are gone, Sapphire order one of the servants to give the gift to her son and went in front of her husband with a glare once the two of them are alone.

Sapphire: What were you thinking?!? Your making this harder for the both of us!!!

Kaze: Honey, it's better this way... We can't let one of them marry him until Sonic is ready...

Sapphire: But-

Kaze: *cut her off* Also, our son need to know how his soon to be bride act towards the people and treat them with respect as well...

Sapphire: *sigh* Fine... Does Sonic know?...

Kaze: Yes my dear...

Back to Sonic, he was looking outside of his balcony and watch kids picking flowers while the others have fun. Knuckles went beside him and did the same.
