I drove down the quiet street to my older brother's house. I pulled up by the curb and stepped out to see my big bro arguing with his neighbor. "Eduardo calm down." I tugged at his buttoned up shirt to get him to look at me. "Don't tell me what to do Edd!" He was still yelling at his neighbor as I pulled him inside. "Come sit with me bro." He huffed and sat next to you on his couch.

"Why are you even here?" His voice carried a hint of disgust. "Yeah I missed you too bro." You replied to his rude comment. "Sorry, I'm just really angry with Edd." He reached around you shoulders to give you a side hug. You returned the gesture with a small smile. "It's ok. I guess I forgive you." He smiled at my little joke.

"So how are you?" His question caught me off-guard as I remembered why I came here. "Not so well actually." I could feel tears start to pool in your eyes. "Y/N what's wrong?" Eduardo's tone changed from playful to worried. "I have bad news. But I just can't bring myself to tell you." I started to cry just a little as I made an attempt to tell him. "Umm...well see..." I trailed off and took a shaky breath. "Mama's dead."

I looked over to my brother to see tears streaming down his cheeks. "No she's not stop lying. You can't mess around like that Y/N." He started to cry as my words started to sink in. "Were you there when it happened?" I slowly shook my head. "No, I went to visit her one day and found her body lying in bed." I carefully explained to him. "Doctors say she died of old age, so at least it was painless."

Eduardo enveloped me in a hug as he began to sob. "I'm so sorry bro." I hugged him back and began to stroke his hair to calm him. "She's really gone? But I never spent enough time with her. The last words I said to her were 'I know mama'." I got Eduardo to look at me. "You did nothing wrong, all that matters is that she is in a better place now." He nodded and wiped away his tears. "You probably want to unpack all your things huh?"

He stood up to lead me to my room. "Yeah thanks." My voice was low. "I'll only be here for a few months, I'm going to work a little more before I get a house." He looked back at me with hope in his eyes. "You're not going back to America?" You shook your head no. He ran back to me and gave me a tight hug. "That's great!" His voice was loud enough to get someone to come out of their room. "What's going on out here?" A tall blonde man stepped out into the hallway. "Y/N's going to be moving to London!" The blonde looked a little shocked. "That's good why?"

"Eduardo and I are siblings." I told him pointing to myself and my brother. "Half siblings." Eduardo corrected me. "Aaww but you still love me huh?" I teased him, making my voice sound like a child's. "Unfortunately, now come on." I followed after him putting my hand on my heart in mock sadness. "Ooohhhh ouch my feelings." He chuckled as he open the door to my room. "This is it."

I walked inside to look around. It had white wallpaper with (F/C) stars painted all around the walls. "Did you do this?" I pointed to everything that was (F/C) in the room. "Uh yeah, I did this once you told me you were coming." He blushed after answering. "Wait. You can be nice?" I tried to sound surprised but ended up laughing instead. "Yes I can. I can also put it back to normal if you don't quit that." I stopped laughing and apologized to him before walking out to my car.

I grabbed all my clothes and a few other things. Such as books, phone, stuff FOR my phone, and my guitar. I took all my things to my room and put them up. Sitting on the bed I looked around again, the room looked a lot better with all my things in there. The door opened to reveal a short man with  light brown hair and small beady eyes. "Eduardo wanted me to ask you what you want for dinner." He told me, looking a little nervous. "Oh just some (F/F) is fine." I gave him a kind smile which seemed to calm him.
