A date

Edd's POV:
Y/N and I walked into my room, I sat down onto my bed and left some space beside me for her. I grabbed the remote as she sat down next to me. "So what'd ya like to watch?" I looked over to her as she pondered for a moment. "How about (favorite movie)? It's a classic!" I nodded and searched it up. We began to watch and after about fifteen minutes a love scene came on. "I hate this part." Y/N mumbled under her breath as the looked away from the screen.

Looking at her face I realized it was covered in a cherry red blush. Oh my god she's so adorable! Look at her! Ahhhggggg! I could feel my own face heating up at my thoughts as I turned back to the screen. In the corner of my eye, I could see her move her hand to reach for the remote. "I know it's bothering you too, I'll skip over it since I know when it ends." I moved the remote away, suddenly getting an idea. "No it's fine!"

She looked at me in confusion but shrugged it off and settled back into her spot. I moved a little bit closer to her several times, each scoot had gone unnoticed. I got closer until, finally, our arms were touching. Now! Do it now or you'll never have the confidence again. "Hey, Y/N?" I asked in a nervous tone, she looked up at me. "What's up?" I gulped nervously as I mentally prepared myself for rejection.

"Would you like to...um...go out to get food with me?" I could feel beads of sweat begin to form on my forehead. "Yeah sure, I'll go ask the others what they want!" Before she could get off the bed I grabbed her wrist. "Wait! I mean...just with me." She looked me straight in the eyes, and for just a moment I got to see how the light shined in her eyes. "Oh, can I...can I have a moment to think about it?" I nodded and let go of her wrist.

Your POV:
I walked out of Edd's room and into my shared room. "Hey Y/N!" I looked up to see Matt with a mirror in hand and laying next to Tord. "Matt I need to talk to you." He set the mirror down and looked at me with a cheerful expression. "Okay! What's up?" He chirped, I looked over to Tord. "Alone, actually, could you step out for a second Tord." Tord looked up from his phone in an annoyed manner, but reluctantly got up and left the room.

I closed the door behind him and rushed over to sit on the door of the bed. "Edd asked me out on a date!" I blurted out, I looked up at Matt's face to see obvious shock. "Really? He's never like-liked a girl before, only platonically." I hid my face in my sweater. "I don't know what to do!" I mumbled pitifully, I felt Matt's hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him, he was obviously confused on how to comfort me.

"Well, do you like him?" I moved my hands up to the side of my head. "Uhhh...maybe? I don't really know. I mean, don't get me wrong, Edd is a great guy! Real nice and incredibly sweet, but I only met him yesterday!" Matt looked to the floor in deep thought. "Well how about this, accept his offer and go on a date with him. If you feel at any time that you two wouldn't work out then you'll know whether or not you like him!"

Matt put his hands on his hips in triumph as you nodded. "Sounds great, thank you so much Matt! This means a bunch!" You gave him a quick side hug and stood up. "Wish me luck!" You joked as you opened the door and stepped out. Tord was sitting next to the door. "Go get 'em tiger." He gave me a thumbs up without any emotion as he continued to stare at his phone and began to make his way back into the room.

I walked to Edd's room and reached for the knob, my hand shaking the whole time. I opened the door and looked inside, Edd was sitting at his desk with a pencil in hand. "Edd?" His head shot up and he turned in his chair to look at me. "Oh, hey Y/N. Did, did you decide?" He stood up and slowly made his way over to me. I nodded me head as he reached the spot where I stood. "Well...?" His voice wasn't impatient, it was calm. Something about it had made me a little less nervous.

"I would love to go get some dinner with you." Edd's eyes shut tightly as a giant grin broke out across his face. He came closer and wrapped his arms around me, but just barely, as if he was afraid to make me uncomfortable. I hugged him back, raising my arms up and around his neck. The room was silent for a few minutes until Edd broke away from the hug. "Thank you
Y/N, I know this is so sudden but, I feel so close to you."
