Lily's PoV
"Hey lily come here a second" I heard my father call from downstairs. "Coming" I yelled back before closing my laptop and sliding down the banister to greet my father at the bottom. "What's up dad?" I asked leaning against the bottom banister. "I need your key to the basement. I glanced over and noticed Stefan standing watching us. "Ummm dad" I nodded my head towards Stefan. "I want to show him what you have down there" I raised my brows skeptically. "Don't worry sweetheart we can trust him." I sighed still not trusting Stefan. "Fine" I stomped a little like a child down to the basement where my dad kept the vervain. He's had me growing more of it since Stefan and Damon arrived. "I took my necklace off and opened the locket revealing a key. Opening the door I pushed it allowing dad and Stefan to enter. Not trusting Stefan I stayed out of the cell. "You've been growing it." Stefan questioned "I've had lily been tending it since you arrived, she's sneakier than I am" my father explained. "Yeah cause your too old" I playfully punched his shoulder. "Hey I am not old" he ruffled my hair causing me to slap his hand away giggling. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Stefan staring at me. Not liking it I moved to the other side of my dad grasping his attention. "Damon would kill us if he knew about it Stefan" my father spoke taking the attention off of me. "But you're telling me, why?" Stefan asked "We...... I trust you." He stopped knowing I did not trust Stefan's "and you are gonna need it if you want to get rid of him." My eyes widened at my fathers words. There trying to kill Damon.

"Dad wait are you sure about this." I asked running to catch up to him. "Yes sweetie it's the only way to stop him." "But Dad what if we get hurt." I asked quietly. "I'm not gonna let anything happen to you flower" he kissed my forehead lightly. "I don't wanna lose you dad" I confessed tears threatening to spill at the thought of my dad leaving. "Your not gonna lose my flower." He chuckled lightly. "Promise?" "I promise" just then he left and I headed to my room quickly knowing Stefan and Damon are upstairs too.
