"TREYYYY!" I turned around when gunshots filled my ears. All I saw was red. I ran over to him. I took my jacket off and tried to tie it around his wound. This couldn't be happening. He couldn't speak, he was lost for words. I held his head in my arm with my other hand touching the side of his head.
"Pleaseee, don't leave me. I can't lose someone else." I said, I couldn't hold back the tears. He didn't say anything. He just grabbed my face and smiled. I smiled back.
"Please." I begged. His hand fell to the ground.
"Trey, trey." I shook him. "TREYY" I called his name and shook him some more. My face was now itchy from all the crying I was doing.
You would think I was used to this, all the people I have lost. But yet I wasn't. Trey was my dawg for real. I do everything with him. He was my brother. With him gone, nothing ever felt the same. I pulled out my phone to call 911, then a quote came into my head that he always used to tell me.
"When I'm gone don't think of all the bad shit that could happen, think of all the good things that did."
