While trying to better understand AIDS, the Mayo clinic made glow-in-the-dark cats! They did this by using a certain type of protein to determine if their outcome was successful.
Using the protein, which is produced naturally in jellyfish, they could mark the feline version of HIV easily by shining a light on the animal.
You can own your very own glow-in-the-dark cat...although procuring one might not be as easy as going to your local animal shelter.
