AN: i have a better idea of this story so i think its going to be better than i originally thought.
Volleyball is starting. :) i'm so happy, i'm like jumping off the walls!!!!!!
Honestly i'm suprised i even got to chapter 2( the first one was a prologue kinda thing) cuz i have a tendency of giving up on stuff. But i'm determined to finish this cuz i dont wanna say that my first story didnt even make it to the 3rd chappie. That would suck!
Well read on :)

"Bye Grover," I said while smiling,"see you tomorrow."
He waved to me as we parted ways. We both walked home from school today and our houses are surprisingly not that far apart. We walked together but had to separate at a crossroad.
As soon as Grover was out of sight. I stuck my ear buds in my ears. The music was a good distraction from what I was waiting for back at home. Gabe was there. What more do I need to say?
I was waiting for the chores, the constant demands, and the snide remarks. This stuff happened everyday and I was used to it. But I never said I liked it.
I slowly walked up to the apartment building and walked in. There was some people sitting down in the lobby but I ignored them and walked up to my apartment room.

AN: What the heck do you call those?
---------------------------------------------
Slowly knocking on the door, I waited. About a minute later, the door swung open and something pulled me inside.
The smell of alcohol and cigars reached my noise and I almost gagged.
As the thing had pulled me into the room I had accidentally ran into a chair and knocked it over.
"Watch where you're going kid!" The person dragging me said. That's when I realized it wasn't Gabe. And if it wasn't Gabe, then who was it?
I was thrown across the room by the man and I landed in a heap near a broken beer bottle. My head rose to see an unfamiliar face.
Who was this man? Just then, Gabe came into view. His face was twisted into a smirk. I also noticed two other men, twins I would guess, sitting at a card table.
"Hey kid," Gabe said to me, but I just watched him warily, "meet my new poker players."
He grinned showing off his teeth, that might I add, hadn't been brushed in a few years.
"This is Joe," Gabe added while gesturing toward the big buff man that dragged me in here, "and that's Tom and Jerry," pointing over shoulder at the twins.
I stifled a laugh. Who names there kids Tom and Jerry? Isn't that from that one Television show?
Thank the gods no one noticed my small laugh. I'd probably get beaten if they heard me.
Gabe's face morphed into one of disgust. Really? You're giving me the disgusted look? Look in the mirror sometime.
He then looked at the broken beer bottles all over the floor.
"Clean this place up,"he said and turned toward the card table to start some poker game with his new poker buddies," it looks a mess."
"Takes after you" I whispered under my breath.
Gabe's head flew back around at me,"What was that?"
"Nothing." I said and when he hesitantly turned back around again I smirked.
