In the time that he was here, Blake tried his best to calm me down and I was thankful for that, he didn't need to be here and yet he was. I tried pulling away the second that I realised it was him but he didn't let me, the possibility that he was doing it as a sign that he cared, warmed my heart, but I didn't let that passing thought entertain me.
He soon released me and offered to get me a glass of water, the emergency light for the kitchen was on so it wasn't difficult for him to find his way there.
"You don't need to do this, you know?" I told him.
"I understand that Victoria" he spoke to me, softly in hopes of not hurting me after I displayed fragility.
" So why did you stay?"
"You looked like you needed someone to lean on. That and the fact that you also left your bag since you were in a hurry"
" oh thank you, it must have been because we were in a rush to get back before the storm was at its worst"
"I figured, it's understandable. It was a good thing that Wesley and I both travelled in different cars, turns out it was more efficient," he said adding a lopsided grin at the end in hopes of lightening the mood.
"How are you going to get back? The storm looks like it's going to get worse, I have a spare bedroom if you need it, after all, you did come all the way just to return my purse," I questioned him in one breath.
"Would it be comfortable with you if I take you up on that offer? I don't want to seem like I'm intruding?"
"No, please. It would be great to have some company for once"
"Well then, thank you"
"it's my pleasure" I finally said

"Alright, I must have some spare t-shirts in the drawer on your right unless you might happen to keep some in your car?" I spoke to him in the guest bedroom.
This room was not as big as my room but it was a decent size as you would get for dorm rooms. Originally, I had a roommate, but she moved to London and never allocated anyone else, so I have been stuck with just myself for some time now. It's been lonely living by myself, sure I have my friends but all the other times I'm just stuck with my intrusive thoughts that feel like poison and never want to leave but the distraction is forever a coping mechanism.
"I've got some in the car, ill be right back"
"Okay!" I ended up shouting as he was near the front door in a short amount of time.
Blake walked swiftly and with ease. His posture showed that he held authority and power and there was no doubt of the gravitating aura that he brought in the room with him captivated peoples attention, it sure did mine. However, the anger that was shown in his eyes told another story, it showed a view of him that he rarely let display, It showed me that someday, Blake de Luca may burn the world to its soil. Even though this was meant to scare me, it didn't, rather it captivated me into believing how fate may take its toll one day. after all it may be horrid, but that's the sad truth in life, everyone's reign ends one day.
