As I woke up the next morning with tired and heavy eyes, the soreness of my muscles dawned upon me. It's due to the 6-hour mountain-climbing we had yesterday. It was exhilaratingly exhausting! Yes, it was a great privilege and pleasure to see firsthand the grandiose wonders of God's Creations (and creatures).
But it all was for a price
-a burnt out body.
Of course, the kind villagers understand what we must've felt. So they told us of a very intriguing idea of refreshment- a bath! They told us to just follow them because the way to the place could be very dangerous. And realizing our physical state; the itchiness in our bodies, the dried sweat overtime, and our...smell, we knew that it's exactly what we need! So off we went, trailing after the assigned 'tourguide,' grabbing our toiletries, clothes, and towels with us.
The arduous hike was very tricky, and muddy, that sometimes my footwear would get stuck in the creamy ground of nature, and leave me barefoot. I've even almost slipped twice! And each time that I would seem to loose balance, though my company of lovely people are there to assist me, I felt like nature itself would laugh in mirth at me! But it was fun, and of course, to keep ourselves preoccupied, we also did talked amongst ourselves random stuff. And there's this one guy who would go on forever talking like an infomercial advertiser.
After 20 minutes of that 'pleasant' walk...
Woe betide me! Standing before us is a bathroom carved out of nature! Its ceiling reached up to the heavens! Its sides, as wide and vast as your eyes take you! And behold, the shower room of ancients! Unlimited supply of water freely sprung out from the humongous rock above us. So we got in below it as quickly as we could, not being able to hold the excitement anymore. And oh! It's so worth it! Imagine trillions of bacteria washed away! The ponderous pressure from the continuous flow of molecules of H²O joined together weighing down on me seems like a massage from nature itself!
I. did. not. regret. this.
