Walter's Point of View

I grabbed my Supreme skateboard and jogged down my stairs. Bonnie (my board) and I hadn't had a straight hour together since before the move. I really needed to get out.

I was exploring a quiet road down by the lake when out of nowhere a girl with a dog flew towards me. I dodged out of the way, but she went the same way, so I ended up holding her dog, and she took a nasty fall into the ditch. I pushed her dog down, and quickly reached out a hand to pull her up.

"I am so sorry! Are you alright?" I asked as she grabbed my arm.

She gave my arm a tug, "I'm fine now." I stumbled down the slope, landing right next to her. She laughed then abruptly stopped, "Walter?"

I looked up again, "Oh wow. We met yesterday, didn't we?" I sat up and brushed a hand through my hair (which I'm sure is messed up from that fall.)

She smiled and nodded.

I stuck out my hand, "You're Annette, right?"

"Yup, and you're Walter." She shook my hand.

"Sorry for bumping you." I shook out my hair again.

"Gingy was right, you do blush a lot."

"Gingy? Who is...oh..." I blushed more than I apparently already was. "Really? She said that?"

She nodded, "Yup! Don't worry, she said good things too."

I tilted my head, "Like?"

She held her head back, "Wouldn't you like to know?" She let out a little baby snort.

"Yes, actually I would."

She laughed some more and began to pull her dog's leash towards her. She reached towards the road, pulling her and her dog out of the ditch, stepping on my board as she did. "You've got a nice board here, buddy." She took a kick out onto the main road, dogg still in tow.

I jumped up onto the road and began to run after her when I noticed that she had a board left in place of mine. Hers was purple. I smiled and laughed to myself. I should've known she was a skater. When you are one, you tend to be able to pick them out of a crowd. I stepped onto hers and went after her.

After about an hour of skating around, Annette said that she had to take Snickerdoodle back home. (That was her dog's name.)

We headed off in our different directions. I still had to look for a job.

I stretched my arms out as I rolled off the bed. I had a feeling that it was going to be a good day. After Annette and I departed yesterday, I went to a little diner on Main Street, asking about a job. They gave me a trial period right off...must've been short-handed.

I had to go to school. I was a little bit excited to get back in the swing of things. I mean, don't get me wrong--being able to sleep in is great--but I miss seeing people close to my age. I pulled on some clothes, and went downstairs to get a move on. (A/N I'm sorry, this is really crap writing!)

When I got to school, I went into the office to get my schedule. Since my brothers were still in middle school, I only had to get mine. I looked down to see this:

1. World History...room 102

2. Graphic Design...room 125

3. Journalism...room 108

4. Advanced Math...room 117

5. Study Hall, B Lunch...media

6. Physics...room 121

7. Spanish 4...room 104

8. Government...room 101

I began walking to World History.
