"Tanaka! You need to stay and work the night shift!" Mr. Yakamoto yells from across the office. I
sighed and rolled my eyes. It's been like this for the past week. Hiro drops off dinner while I'm working
and he goes back home. I usually don't get home till midnight or one in the morning now. Mr. Yakamoto
treats me differently than the other associates, and it gets on my nerves. I never really understood why
he doesn't like me, I think it's because I'm late all the time and end up having to work later than usual.
"Mr. Hatake? I have your order." a young lady said. She walked up to me, handing a package. I
remember her, her name is Lizzy, she's a new intern. "Thank you, Lizzy. Um, so how is school?" God,
that sounded really creepy. She laughed, "I'm doing good, Mr. Hatake. Thank you for asking, though."
I'll see you around, Sir." she says as she turns around and leaves. Lizzy is a really sweet, she helps out
with everyone in the building. I think she just want's to have fun and have a good time. Five long hours
passed by and everyone was heading home by now. "Lock up when you leave, Tanaka." Mr. Yakamoto
throws me the building keys and hops in the elevator. "Sigh...This is going to be a long night." I went
back to my drawing. I soon got bored after an hour of working on a project. I decided to create my own
little drawings. Hiro said I was an amazing drawer. He's an editor so he doesn't really know about any
of the drawing techniques. I took a peek at my my watch, knowing that if I did, the time would go by
even slower. "11:30" "Geez!! Why does the boss hate ME so much! What did I ever do to him??" I
asked to myself aloud. I thought I would get an answer, but I realized, I..was..alone. I grumbled under
my breath. "God, I hate this. Kill me now." I said sarcastically. A voice laughed, I jumped and turned
around in my spinning chair. "You really have a knack for talking to yourself, don't you?" he said. He,
was in fact, my freaking boss. "Mr. Yakamoto. What are you doing here?" I snapped, as much as I hate
the guy, it probabley doesn't give me the right to snap. "Just checking up. Actually, you can go home, I'll take
care of the rest. Oh, don't forget to give me back the keys. "Oh?" I was very surprised, this is the nicest
thing he has ever done for me...BUT WHY DIDN'T HE DO THIS TO ME FOR THE PAST FREAKING
WEEK!!! I am so freaking po'd right now. I got up, pushed my chair in and handed him the keys.
"Tanaka. Wait." I stopped and turned around right before I got to the elevator. "Yes?" I am not in the
mood for another lect- "I'm sorry, for treating you like crap. And..don't expect any more of..of this." he
waved his arms around like a crazy person. I laughed, "Ha ha! Boss, you're hilarious. But, I accept the
apology. You know what, I'm sorry for being late all the time, c'mon you know that it's the birds! They're
really annoying!" I joked, but I was serious about the apology, even if it sounded like I didn't care. "Ha.
You're forgiven too. Set you're alarm clock next time. Now, get the hell out of here." he said with a giant
