"How's being an officer, Y/N?" Mitsuba asked, floating beside you.
"A real pain in my lame-ass." You huffed, twirling the stick between your fingers. The pinknette let out a chuckle.
You came into stop on your tracks, narrowing your eyes to get a better view of the two underclassmen first year students from afar, having an idle talk.
They seemed to be the delinquent type.
"Hey!" You yelled, they snapped their heads on you, looking plainly annoyed.
"Didn't the bell already rang? Break time's over. Go inside your respective rooms now!" You instructed, waving your stick in a shooing gesture.
The two turn their backs on you, but not after sending a glare on your way along with inaudible murmurs before leaving.
"Oh great, they bear a grudge on me now." You said sarcastically, rolling your eyes with a groan.
"I should be going now, lame-ass."
Your attention moved to Mitsuba at his precipitous announcement.
"Already?!"
He shrugged, lazily swinging his hand for a wave and turn away.
"Yeah, I wanna take photos somewhere. Besides, my feet kinda stings from strolling around with you."
"But you're literally just floating!"
"Not my problem. Later, lame-ass officer." The hypocrite of a friend sassed on you as he levitate away.
You heave out a deep breath. Losing the company of the overly self-assertive boy made you a little gloomy.
You always found his elated remarks quiet entertaining.
At the cognition, your shoulders slightly slumped down.
"Y/N-chaaaaan~"
Someone behind you cooed.
'Ah, sheesh.'
Plastering a timid smile, you faced Hanako.
"H-hello." You greeted tautly, both hands holding the good-for-nothing stick in your back.
"Y/N, where have you been? You just left yesterday without a word." He complain in a plaintive whining way, almost invariably sounding childish.
'I should've known that he'll be seeing me this morning after my unsaid sudden absence yesterday.'
"Uh, yeah... about that." You quickly think for a makeshift lie.
"Kou came in, asking if I happened to see his brother that day so I told him to try checking at the student council office, while I decided to search at the garden..."
No stuttering. You mentally give yourself a pat on the back for that achievement.
However, Hanako appears that he didn't buy your lousy excuse.
He frowned. Rather than being intimidated, you see this as a cute expression like a face of a sullen child.
"I thought we're close friends, Y/N-chan? Why are you keeping secrets from me now?"
"What? N-no!" You contradictively blurted. "Of course not! Why would I?!"
Hanako smirks.
You knew that one all too well.
That one type indicates that perverted thoughts were replenishing his mind at this rate.
"I don't know? Maybe you did something naughty yesterday?" His smirk gets broader. "Ooh~ that's scandalous, senpai~"
You immediately hooded your blush with the back of your hand.
Even at the fact that you knew to yourself that you didn't do such imprudent thing like he said, you just can't help but to be flustered with his teasing.
"Good morning, L/N-senpai! Hanako-san!"
Kou suddenly pipes out of nowhere, approaching you and the apparition.
"H-hello, Kou." Looking up, you smiled weakly.
After getting a little more closer, he took notice first of your very heated face as he stopped in front of you, beside Hanako.
"Senpai? Are you-" a hunch came into his mind. He shot a doubting look at the ghost.
Hanako just made the boy's suspicion more obvious since he didn't bother to conceal that deviant smirk of his.
Kou's eyebrows crimped. For the first time, you watch how his usual lively beautiful deep blue eyes darkened.
"Hanako-san, what did you do to senpai?"
Playing dumb, the spirit slowly turn his head to the diligent exorcist.
"What'dya mean?" Hanako 'innocently' queries. With wide cherubic eyes, he pressed his forefinger on his cheek.
"I didn't do anything~" he cooed. "And Kou..."
Hanako drifted close to you, fondly hugging the girl from the side, his stare never left Kou as he did.
"Why are you so intrigued? It's not like I harmed her or anything." His smirk couldn't get any smug. "Are you perhaps... jealous~?"
The boy didn't answer as he tried to fought back the blush trying to reach on his cheeks.
"N-no! It's just... you're m-making her uncomfortable!" He stammered.
Hanako grinned. "Oh really? Lying to me too? I thought we're friends, boy?"
The two continue with their petty nonsense discourse, opposing each other.
Out of the duo's small world of bickering, they failed to acknowledge the existence of the very flustered girl encased in Hanako's arms. You feel so overwhelmed and dizzy.
When the two didn't seemed to plan to end this any sooner, you decided to finally take an action.
You timorously slipped away from the ghost's grasp. "I- umm... I really should go now and help with the papers in the office. Bye Hanako, a-and Kou!"
The younger Minamoto tried to reach out his hand to you. "Wait! Senpai-"
You already fled out of the scene, both hands cupping your flushed face.
Amber and blue eyes clashed once again in a form of glare, a new fathomable rivalry could be sensed on the two still figure.

LATER AT LUNCH...
You're currently sharing a table with Hanabi. Of course being a considerate you are, you let Yashiro tag along. Now, the three of you were eating your bento in peace.
"Hey L/N, who's the weird guy?" Hanabi pointed somewhere across the room with an incredulous 'wtf' face.
You looked up, only to deadpan when you see who it was.
"Kou-kun?!" Yashiro gasps, her rice ball falling out of her mouth.
Like a total idiot, he's standing on top of the table.
"I WILL EXORCISE YOU SPIRITS!" He pump his sealed staff on the air. "ESPECIALLY YOU, HANAKOOOO!!!"
Snorting, you resume back on your meal.
"Nobody. Just another bothersome kouhai."
