"Isn't that-"

"Teru-nii's bracelet." Kou confirmed in a murmur, brows furrowed. "And he never take off this bracelet. Ever"

"Does it mean..."

His jaw tensed.

"Something happened to him."

You crouch down to pick up the accessory of his brother and stood up.

"But who would do such thing?" You twist one of the round beads. "Teru is a great person. How can someone hold a grudge against him...?"

'He's always a good and kind mentor to others. Teru always treat everyone with respect... except-'

An intuition came in. 'He's nice to everyone, except to the spirits! That boy won't hesitate to exorcise them! Now, which spirit could possibly be responsible for sudden disappearance?'

The bulb lit up. Your weeb cells starts kicking in. 'That's right! Sudden disappearance! It's the Misaki stairs- oh, wait...'

You look up at Kou who's face were immensely in distress, then the image of Teru's bag drifted on your mind.

'If it's the Misaki stairs, Kou wouldn't remember him and his bag won't be there at all. His bag indicates that Teru did went to school today. Then it just concludes one thing...'

"It's a human's fault. Spirits does not have anything to do with this." You blurted out, acquiring Kou's attention.

"Are you sure, senpai?"

"Hundred percent positive. Or ninety-nine point nine percent by the least." You assured, sliding the bracelet on the pocket of your skirt, mentally noting to give it to him later.

"Now." You stepped closer to him. "I want you to search in the school grounds, including the garden. I'll search inside the school building. The afterwards, let's meet at the old gymnasium afterwards."

Kou looked bewildered, scratching his nape. "But the old gymnasium is a restricted place at the moment."

You just smirk, lifting a knowing finger. "Exactly. If we failed to find him at the open grounds and accessible area here in school, that place would be the last option."

"Makes sense..."

"Yeah. So come on, chop-chop!"

"Good luck, senpai." He flashed a faint smile.

"Take care, good luck to you too."

He quickly spun around, walking to the main entrance of the building. On the other hand, you also start walking through the halls.

Both of you parted ways.

Minutes passes by until you entered a certain extensive facility.

First stop: Library.

You keep your attentive nature while looking around. There's nothing much here. Everything looks exactly the same.

Books.

Shelves.

Few students.

"L/N."

You jumped. "AH!!!"

Because of the sudden shriek that echoes through the place, you earned a few glares and a 'shh' from the librarian on the desk.

Showing a sheepish apologetic smile, you faced the one who startled you. "Tsuchigomori-sensei?" You reduces the tone of your voice.

'Oh, that reminds me. He's the mystery number 5: The 4pm Bookstacks'

"L/N, what are you doing here? Don't you have a tutoring lesson with Minamoto?" He asked in a rigor low voice, a hand inside his pocket.

Forcing a tight smile, you shake your head. "N-nothing! I just uhh... run some errands! Y-yeah! Ha-ha."

You nervously take a few step back, overly uneasy under his gaze, which your eyes darted everywhere in order to avoid making contact with it.

"I-I should go now. B-bye, sensei-"

A hand grab your wrist, cueing you to look at him. Tsuchigomori however, only stare at his hand holding you.

"Sensei?"

He seemed to snap out of his clouded thoughts, letting you go in the process. "Nothing. You may go now."

"Okay...?" A bit weirded out, you didn't pressed further into the subject. "Goodbye."

You quietly make your ways out of the facility, continuing on your search.

Second stop: Student Council Office.

Staring at the door, you contemplated for a moment, only to shake your head and walk off.

'Abort mission. He's certainly not there anyway.' You look at your feet shuffling in every step you took.

Elapsing a few rooms, you were nearing the infamous broadcasting room.

You noticed a gorgeous short green haired girl standing by the door. The portion of her locks beside her temples were much longer than the rest. Her beautiful eyes were half-lidded and held a deadpan face.

'Sakura Nanamine.'

At random times, you have encountered her and had a small talk. She's really nice though. Not a close friend of yours, but can be considered in between of friend and acquaintance.

Feeling your form approaching, she turn to you. "Hello, L/N." She greeted.

"Oh, hi, Sakura-chan." You shyly greet back.

The corner of her mouth twitches into her tiniest rare smiles, slightly taking you a back. Thus, making your cheeks tinge.

'Oh damn, she smiled at me! She's so beautiful...'

As you passed by, you could've sworn that you saw a short glint of menacing eyes through the small crack of the door, watching you closely.

Paying no mind on it, you continue on your quest.

~~~
You had already searched through the whole school building.
Every classroom.
Every facility.
No luck.
Not a single clue of the eldest child of Minamoto's whereabouts.
Extremely frazzled by all the traveling, a wistful sigh escaped your system, slumping on the floor in the entrance of the closed old gymnasium.
In the double doors of it, a yellow tape with 'do not enter' text were attached that forms a big 'X' shape, hindering any intruder from coming in.
"I wonder how things were going with Kou."
Suddenly, you hear a snapping sound inside, making you whip your head around in panic.
Stealthily scrambling closer, you peek through the small crack on the door.
In instance, your eyes widened in horror and jaw dropped on what you're witnessing occur right now.
"AH!!"
Inside, someone were mercilessly getting beaten up inside.
And it's none other than Teru Minamoto.
