I came back home after about two hours.
Ezra, the guy in the park had helped me clear up my mind. He also gave me his number in case I ever needed to talk to someone again.Atleast nice people exist.
I opened the apartment to find Theo sitting on the bed with his head in his hands.
"Theo," my soft voice traveled to him. He took a sharp breath and looked up at me.
I could see that he had been crying. He got up and started speaking.
"Andrea, I understand why you're hurt. And I want a second chance. I'm pleading you, please don't leave me, especially when I'm this vulnerable. I can't continue without you. You are my everything."
This words hit me. He didn't mean any of that. These were all lies.
He came over to me and hugged me. I couldn't move.
The scent that once attracted me was suffocating me now. I gently pushed him off of me.
"I'm going to need some time Theodore. Let's......let's talk about it later." I said and walked away from him.
The entire day went in a blur and all I could think about was Theodore. He had left a while earlier to get some groceries and it was almost evening now.
Groceries don't take that long.I went and lay down on my bed, muffling silent sobs.
A few hours later, I noticed the bed dip beside me. A firm hand travelled over my waist and held me close. Theo.

As morning approached, I realised that my life was tearing apart.Yesterday night I forgot to iron my clothes and plan my breakfast and lunch. Now, I had pancakes for lunch and some leftovers for breakfast.
I was so unorganised; it was almost funny. Theo had left a while earlier, without eating anything which is totally unlike him.
I had also forgotten to email a very important presentation that was supposed to be on office tabs by six in the morning.
I quickly emailed it and that's when something caught my eye. I had two new emails which I actually received yesterday. That's weird, I remember checking my laptop before sleeping yesterday.
The first email was from Robert and the second one was from Dmitri industries.
I debated upon which one I should open first and decided that Raiden's email was probably more important.
I opened it and the first sentence read : I hope you know what has happened.
Oops wrong sequence.
I went back and opened Robert's email. It read:Andrea,
I have come to know that you rejected Dmitri's offer and I must say that I cannot interfere and change your decision whatsoever. But, what I can do is fire you.
Your rejection has lead to a series of events which are unfavourable for our establishment, also resulting in severe loses through our market stocks. I would want you to report at my office at 10:00am sharp. Don't be late.Regards,
Robert Mathews.What?!
I was baffled. What was going on. How could all of this be a result of my rejection? I quickly dressed up and drove myself to work.It was about 9:45 am when I entered the building. I hurriedly made my way towards the office and stood in front of the tall door leading to Robert's private office.
The tension was building up. I could feel my hands starting to sweat.
As soon as the clock hit 10, I decided to walk inside.
I firmly knocked the door and entered when I heard a 'come in'.
I opened the door and cane face to face with the one and only, Raiden Dmitri.
He smirked at me and continued to gaze in my eyes. I looked away and started walking towards the desk. I noticed Raiden had started walking in Robert's direction too.
Robert looked at me with a frown and told me to sit down.
"Good morning Miss Luna." Robert's voice boomed. I looked down in my lap. He was pretty intimidating when he wanted to be.
"Now, let me inform you of what has happened. You may know that the Dmitri Organisation owns about 35% of our shares and also 20% of our company. Due to your rejection, Mr. Dmitri over here has decided to give up the 20%, which will automatically result in extreme losses for UW."Hold up. Can he do that! Is this legal?
"Just before your mind wanders of to filing a lawsuit, let me inform you that all of this is legal and the shared contract approves of it." Raiden said smirking beside me.
"So now, Mr. Dmitri has very graciously given you a second chance to think about his proposition. If you reject it again, he will pull out of the company. Please think about it." Robert'a pleading voice hit me.
He needed this. The company needed this. For years and years, United West has given me everything I had ever wanted. This was my turn to repay.
"You can have the day to—"
"I'll take it." I said, cutting Raiden mid sentence.
Not a very polite thing to do to your future boss.
"What?" Said Raiden. He almost seemed surprise that I said yes."I'll take the job." I said looking up at him and Robert.
Robert sighed and sat down on his chair. Happiness and relief evident in his eyes.
Raiden sat there, almost judging me for a minute before he got up and said, "Very well. I look forward to seeing you in my office tomorrow at 8am sharp."
He gave a curt nod towards Robert and walked out.
"I'm thankful to you for this Andrea and I wish you the best of luck for your journey ahead." He said and softly smiled at me.
I took that as my cue and left the room, never returning the smile.
