Violet's pov.
After talking to Brody, things between us lightened up a bit, and we sat together at the table. Clem noticed that and smiled at me throughout breakfast.

And as she promised, she got closer to the others, starting with Omar who was the calmest of all. "Food, tasty."

"Thanks Clem. The secret is perfection, or you eat or you eat well, it just takes a little patience."

"Calm." She nodded in agreement.

"Exactly!"

She had to go calmly. Despite assuring her that the others were trustworthy, she was still shy and cautious.

When I got distracted watching her, I saw Willy sit next to her. "Hi, Clem!"

He made her jump in fright, but she instantly calmed down. "Hi, Willy."

"What you did with the knives, it was amazing!" He commented in amazement. "Can you teach me how to do that?"

"Me? Teach?" She asked incredulously.

"Yeah, please."

She thought about it for a moment. "Yes, me teach."

"Great! When do we start?"

Well, with the little ones it was easier for her to relate. They were discussing the basics of throwing knives. But I realized that it was impossible for her to explain to Willy with her limited language, so i made a mental note remembering help her expand her vocabulary.

After lunch, I took her with Aasim to see if he could get us some books to learn. "What do you want books for?"

"To help Clem with her vocabulary."

"Why? What about with her vocabulary?"

I glared at him before turning to Clem. "Clem, say: Aasim, can you lend me books?"

She widened her eyes and lightly cleared her throat, holding her neck. "Aasim, lend, books?" She says pointing to herself.

Aasim looked at Clem puzzled. "Oh... Okay... I'm going to get her a few, but i promise nothing. Because when the adults left us, you burned all the books they could. "

"Oh, fuck!" I had forgotten. "I'm sorry, Clem."

"It's okay." Assured.

"CLEM!" Willy yelled running towards us. "I'm ready to you teach me how to throw knives."

Both went to an area far from the others. And since Clementine would have a hard time explaining to Willy, I decided to join them.

Clem stepped behind Willy and taught him how to position himself. "Weight, leg." She said patting his leg that placed behind.

"Bend, elbow." She bent Willy's arm the side of his head. "Pass weight." She said pointing from his rear leg to his front leg.

"Throw!" She pointed to the wood log that had a target drawn on it. Willy did exactly what she instructed, but the knife hilt hit the target and fell to the ground. "Argh..." Willy moaned annoyed.

"Good." Clem applauded.

"Really?"

Clem nodded. "Lack, control." She said making Willy smile.

"So, is everything okay between you two? Can you understand her Willy?"

"Yeah, I can understand her!" He said, throwing another knife.

"Clem?"

"Me fine." Assured. "Me, teach, Willy." I nodded in response.

"Vi!" Marlon yelled running towards me. "We need to talk." I left with him, walking away from Clem and Willy. "What happens?"
