Alex laid in bed thinking of what his mother had just said. How the fuck was he possibly going to deal with his really bad migraines. He grabbed his pillow and covered his face. He took deep breaths it would be fine. Trying to calm down he felt defeated. He felt that without those pills he wouldn't be able to live life. He laid like that thinking about his pills for a while until he fell asleep.

When he woke up he was in Steve's backyard again but the water was gone and vines tangled over the swimming pool. Steve's family really needed to take care of their house better. He walked toward the pool. He saw Barb inside climbing up the ladder. He tried to grab her hand to pull her up but his hand went right through hers. He questioned this and found it weird. Had he died, he thought as he smirked. He went back to barb and got on his knees trying to find some way to get her out. He looked around and tried to find something to help her.

No luck, he turned back around to her, she was gone.  She was quicker than flash, damn. He hopped down into the pool. He turned to see her body and this scared him to his core, he backed up. What the actual Fuck. He awoke in real life he was hoping real life in cold sweat. He got up, what was wrong with him why would he imagine Barb's death. He shuttered at the thought of his own nightmare. He wiped the blood that had came out his nose when he was sleep. He thought it was most likely from him hitting his nose on something while he was in his slumber. It was now 5:30 and since he couldn't go back to sleep he decided to get ready for school. He grabbed his towel and went into the bathroom. He took a long hot shower but the hot water ran out like usual.

He grabbed one of jackets and jeans he grabbed mismatched socks and threw on some converses. He made the choice of being nice like always and made pancakes since they were so easy to make. Dustin woke up an hour later and basically did a repeat of Alex routine except he didn't make his own breakfast but ate Alex's. 

Alex questioned, "How is school Buddy, no one better not be messing with my little brother or they will have a big problem coming. Alex flex his muscles.

Dustin smiled a big toothless grin. Alex has always loved when his brother smiled. Dustin said he had to go a little while after to eating and Alex realized he had to go too. A little while after Dustin left he left out the house locking the door. He started walking when he heard a honk behind him. He turned around and saw Steve in what he guessing was the teen's car. He rolled his eyes he knew should  have never gone to the guy's party now he probably thinks they are cool. He turned around and walked toward the car. "What, Steve we aren't friends I just came to your sex party or whatever the fuck you wanna call it because I would've been bored at home" he said. He said moving his hands to emphasize his point.

Steve just opened the door to his car,Alex had a feeling he would regret getting in that car but he got in anyway. Steve said, "I'm sorry." The teen did this putting one hand on his forehead and taking a quick glance at Alex.

Alex was surprised but was still not forgiving. Alex said, "I'm not Becky or any of your little toys like Nancy I'm not going to forgive just because you say two words. It's been two years... two goddam years and now you say sorry. "Alex looked at the teen rolling his eyes and furrowing his brows.

Steve said, " I remember when we went to get ice cream with my dad and you accidentally got it all on his pants he said with quotations because I dared you." He cracked into a smile and turned the wheel.

Alex smirked at the old memory but remembered he was talking to Steve. " Yeah, 10 years ago. The difference is we aren't friends anymore." He raised his eyebrows and made his mouth into a straight line as if saying it was obvious.

Steve said, " We could start over.... Hi, I'm Steve".

Alex put his hand out with a neutral tone, "Hi Steve, I'm Alexander."

Alex said, " Since I don't really know you I'm just going to be honest I don't really like you or trust you." 

Steve smirked as he said, " I like your attitude, I think we are going to be close friends.

Alex thought, "I doubt it". He said, " I don't think so, people around the school say you're a douche and based on how you act towards people I don't like people with your attitude."

Steve said, " But, you can't always go by what people say. The teen said the nonchalantly as if they hadn't been friends before and Steve hadn't totally ditched him.

Alex thought, " Trust me I'm not."

Alex and Steve pulled up to the school and parked. Alex automatically got out the car without saying anything to his new "Acquaintance".
