Chapter 8

Sorry that I haven't been active, I don't really like Mattia anymore but I'm doing this for my fans🤷‍♀️. Also I know her sentence wasn't realistic but get over it.

12 months later from being found guilty and locked up:

My Release Date was creeping up on me so quick that I was already walking out to leave, I served 12 months under voluntary man-slaughter. What a life man, I'm 17 now and I've already seen what I never thought I'd see. I'm so done in here, the rotten food, the rotten cells and most of all the rotten people. I walked out to be collected by my mom.
"Roxanne mi amor oh how I've missed you!" as she hugged me tight.
"I ain't going no where mom" as I reassured her.
We drove back to our house in the Bronx by me being greeted by my whole family and friends, hugs and kisses went round as all the memories were rushing back from a much easier time, before I got involved in the streets. Hours passed and I was sat in my bed with my door open while my family were still all here I was trying to get through to my friends and even messaged Andre back. I never really gave him a chance as all I worried back then was about Matti- never mind. My room got darker and darker as my eye fell heavier and heavier. I woke up to the sound of my mom and sister on my bed making me feel at home again.
"Good morning Roxanne" they both said smiles wide as can be as I'm finally home.
But hey they still treated me like nothing ever happened and as if I hadn't made any mistakes. They asked me to go down and get some bread and catch up with some people I've grown up with, as the news broke out I was going to prison the news was even bigger that I was coming back.
I got on:

As I was walking I needed to start thinking about school, as obviously I've been kicked out from my old one. I could always try to get back in as there not to strict, plus I miss my friends but I feel like everyone's kinda forgotten about me. While I was serving my sentence there was little war because of me and Jalen. I haven't heard anything since but a few people got shot down but ever since I've been back they said that's when it really starts. I wanna give this all up but I'm too deep in it I can't turn back now. I said hello to a few people walking down the street but all I could feel was staring at me and voices, small whispered voices talking about me. I got everything for my mom and headed out the shop I turned to a dark alleyway and heard.
"Yo Roxanne" I turned quickly but it was too late as I saw a huge baseball bat swinging for my head. I reached the floor and dropped all the food, I tried to look up on who it was but my vision was so blurry I saw three people who looked so familiar. I guess they were some of Jalen's gang.
My vision became clear but I couldn't identify there faces.
"Take this as a warning Roxanne" one shouted.
"This ain't even the start yet, tell your friends to watch themselves" the other shouted. I quickly got to my feet and pushed the boy in the middle over and told them to shut up and as I did the other two pushed me back and gave me the dirtiest look and carried on walking.
"Fuck" I screamed at myself, I grabbed my phone and called Tay straight away.
"Yo Roxa-"
"Tay i just got hit by some of Jalen's boys"
"Tf u Ight?"
"I'm angry Tay this ain't no petty beef, this is war let Imani Jamal and everyone else know"
"You just came out Roxanne!"
"I don't care! We ride out in the morning okay?"

I ran home and called some guys I knew to meet me at 10 tonight, if this is war we need to be armed, I told the others to come meet me so we're ready.

Disclaimer: Roxannes gang is called : BSantinis and Jalen's gang is NYB, I'm not naming them real gangs cos 😬.

I was sitting with my mom and tia watching tv the time was around 9:46 and I told my mom I was going out as I walked out the door she grabbed my arm.
"Roxanne please be safe, I can't lose you..."
"I know mama I won't" I hugged her tight and met Tay on the stairs with the others.
"You armed?" I asked.
"Here Roxanne the cars waiting" she passed me a small pistol. We all tightened our laces and out our gloves on as we all got in the car. The driver was Tay's cousin who we all knew well, he had a past with NYB too so he was doing this for himself too. He drove near where they would all chill together. We didn't spot anyone yet till we turned left onto there block, which was dangerous as we don't know who else could come out but we didn't care.
"There" shouted Imani.
Imani and Tay's cousin rolled down there window as she saw something on their side, I was in the passengers seat. I looked back to check if it was the boys. It wasn't.
"Put that gun away Imani before we get caught!" Shouted Jamal.
"Will you guys shut up?" I said.
Silence. A couple hours went past and it was late.
"Roxanne you know we don't have to go straight for them boys." Said Tay.
"What do you mean?"
"Well if we go small first, start on their youngest and warm the-" I actually thought this was a good day but right there were the boys.
"There!" I shouted.
Imani pulled down her window and shot two bullets but missed. Jamal grabbed her gun as we already made to much noise and we don't have much time left before there block comes after us. He grabbed it and shot three and one hit. We just saw a body drop while the other three other boys ran off.
"Go go go!" I screamed at Tay's cousin as he speeded off.
All three of them started laughing hysterically as I was only wondering if we shot the right boy as there was someone extra with them. But then Jamal turned around and shouted "their running!"
Shots were fired at the back of the car as Tay's cousin sped up his car. More shots were fired as they kept missing. More we're running after us as Tay rolled down her window and told Imani to do the same as they shot from the back of the car. The shots from NYB we're getting too strong as they got back into the car. More bullets came into the car as they smashed the back window and glass flew everywhere. Tay's cousin started swerving as the fight was getting harder. Imani started screaming and screaming I turned around ready to tell her to shutup. But I couldn't. There was blood everywhere as one of the bullets went through Jamal. Tay stares there in shock as for once I had no clue what to do...
