Transitions - Chapter 1

How did I let this happen to me?
I sighed while lifting myself up from my current position on the ground and wiped my mouth with my hand, grimacing and then leaned against the bathroom door.
After a few moments I stepped out of the stall and made my way towards the sink and looked at myself in the mirror. My face was looking dull and pale, my lips were chapped, I looked like crap and I bet my breath smelled like crap as well.
I guess that happens when you can't seem to sleep, the food makes you nauseous, and you can't seem to get it together.
Sh*t my dad is totally going to see that something is up. I was working at Reign & Co, we saw eachother everyday. I quickly splashed some water onto my face and made my way back to my office. I had to tell them, tonight.
Right before getting to my office my secretary, Grace, came out of nowhere making me jump.
"Olivia! Here I brought you chamomile tea," Grace smiled while handing me a paper cup.
I looked at the tea in my hands confused, usually Grace brings me a coffee or a latte, but tea?
Grace was still watching me and she seemed to notice my confusion, because she quickly explained, "I brought you tea this time, because I've noticed your recent trips to the restroom and how you come out looking a tad sick."
My eyes widen Sh*t, has anyone else noticed?
I winched, while Grace looked at me. "Do you think anyone else has noticed?"
Grace shook her head, "No, not that I've heard or seen. I'm sorry for butting in, but when I was pregnant the only thing that would soothe my stomach was chamomile tea."
I shut my eyes. Darn it and here I was thinking no one noticed.
"Is it that noticeable Grace?" I asked just to make sure.
Again she shook her head, "Oh no, I only probably only noticed and that is because I am your secretary."
I nodded, "Oh okay," I raised my cup, "Thanks for tea, Grace. I'm gonna head to my office now I'll talk to you later."
