CHAPTER ONE: Somewhere Over the Rainbow

"In the middle of a park on a couple of tables and benches the main 6 sit, Ari, Kayla and Flynn eating, Topaz listening to music"

"And Chisuke doing a pretty bad job at helping Blackwell out with his math homework"

"Seventeen?" Blackwell asked with hopefulness

"Absolutely off" Chisuke replied

"What?" Blackwell shockingly asked "How off?"

"Twenty two thousand eighty five" Chisuke responded

"Goddamnit" Blackwell said as he threw his textbook

One of Topaz's snakes caught it in their mouth, the rest of them began fighting over it.

"Boys enough!" she shouted at them, they all immediately released the book.

Blackwell walked over and picked the book up with his index finger and thumb as it was covered in the saliva of the snakes and torn up.

"How am I supposed to use this now?" he asked

"I mean you're already awful at math so it can't make much of a difference" Chisuke replied from the bench.

Blackwell walked over to the table the other 3 were sitting at put his head down on the table with his hands over his head. Topaz and Chisuke walked over to the table and sat down.

"Are you okay hon?" Topaz asked

"Not really" Blackwell replied

"You can talk about it" Ari told him

"It's just that this class is weighing down my grade" he responded "No matter how much tutoring or whatever I do it doesn't change"

"Hey it's okay" Flynn began "I once knew a guy who was awful at math and no matter what he did, he couldn't get better, and you know what he did?"

"What did he do?" Blackwell asked
"Well he started drinking a lot and tried to eat his horse after he graduated so that's not a good moral" Flynn responded

"Seriously I need to know what to do on this, this test is really important, I can't afford to mess it up.

"I know hon, we have the same class" Topaz told him
"Can't you show me how to do it then?" Blackwell asked

"Ummm well..." Topaz awkwardly said "You're a bit of a lost cause in math"

Blackwell put his head back down on the table in defeat. Kayla jumped onto his back and attempted to pull his head back up.

"Come on Blackwell! You can do it! Only little bitches would give up this easily" she said in an attempt to motivate him "And you're nothing like Chisuke"

"What did I do?" Chisuke asked

"Come on!!!" Kayla shouted before she lost her grip and was dramatically thrown off of Blackwell and against a trash can behind her.

"Karma's a bitch" Chisuke laughed "Now come on Blackwell, you can't let this get you down"

"I just feel like being left alone guys, thanks for your help but it's no use" he said to them

"But, but, but" Ari began

"Your butt is enough, we don't need that many" Flynn mumbled

"What was that Flynn?" Ari asked

"N-nothing" he replied

"You guys can just go" Blackwell replied

"Come on guys let's leave him be" Topaz told everyone
