And I wished in that very exact moment that I was able to stop myself from getting inside that blazing fire of yours. I wished I could've stopped myself from moving forward into your direction.

If only I knew, things wouldn't have got complicated and out of hand..

𝗖𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗲'𝘀 𝗣𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄

As I walked inside the campus, I can't help but to smile when I saw familiar faces wearing their formal attires. They were all talking and laughing as if they're happy that they've got to wear those cocktails, makeups and everything. It does feels good when you come to a party and look presentable.

My eyes roamed as I searched for my classmates and saw them sitting behind our table. With my blue high-low cocktail, my black 3-inched wedges and blue hairband clinging onto my natural curly hair, I walked my way towards them.

People were greeting at me, telling me I looked good, and I gave them my sweetest smile while replying back good compliments.

"Ganda natin ngayon ah," Biro ni Jason, one of my male classmates.

Tumawa nalang ako bago umupo katabi nila Jean. They all looked dazzling. I don't even understand why boys don't come courting them. I mean they've got it all. Humor, beauty, kindness and brains.

Pero mas mabuti na din 'yun, kesa may manligaw nga tapos sasaktan lang din sila. I will really kick their balls if someone messes with my girls.

"Cai, pahiram nga ng cellphone mo. Picture tayong lahat," Dianne said.

Kinuha ko agad ang phone ko sa maliit kong sling bag. "Ako na hahawak," I said.

"Hoy! Tingin kayong lahat!" Kuha ko sa atensyon nila, "Jean! Jess! Tumingin nga kayong dalawa, wag kayong KJ!"

Jean and Jessa are one of the camera-shy in the group so expected talaga na tatago 'tong mga 'to.

After three to four shots, ibinigay ko kay Dianne ang phone ko para sila naman mag pictorial. I'm not into taking many shots 'e. You know, insecurities and all.

Napalinga-linga ako sa paligid. My eyes were searching for someone and sighed when I realized he's not here yet. Binaling ko nalang ang atensyon ko sa mga kaibigan ko at sumabay sa mga kalokohan nila.

Pagkatapos ng ilang beses na pa-balik-balik sa main gate ay dumating na rin sa wakas ang taong kanina ko pa inaantay.

He was wearing a red polo with its long sleeves folded up to his elbows. His hair was up again but this time, I can clearly see that he put gel or something because it looked neat. The pounding of my heart started to pick up its pace.
