if little is scary, big must be impossible.

"BWAH! IT'S SO COLD! LET ME IN KAGEYAMA!" a voice screeched from outside tobio's front door, various knocks and bangs accompanying the whining.

tobio gently lifted yui off his lap and left his bedroom to get the door. he wished his mom wasn't on a business trip so she could have opened the door- he was so tired, he didn't wanna get up.
yui slinked around his ankles as his nimble fingers wrapped around the doorknob; he opened the door to see his short little friend with a shiny red nose and snow glued to his weight-repellent hair.

"hey kags!" shōyō beamed, tumbling in the house roughly and tracking tiny clumps of snow into the foyer behind him.

tobio took a glance outside and saw the white world swirling around, and shut the door with a shiver.

"hi."

"i brought food!" shōyō giggled, lifting a plastic bag up in his mitten-clad hand. the mittens had little puppy faces on the fronts. typical shōyō, tobio smirked.

"here, give it to me," tobio outstretched his arm to take it, "just get out of your jacket and stuff."

"okay! thanks, kageyama!" the boy dumped the bag into his tall friend's arms and began to peel away layers upon layers of winter garments.

tobio brought the bag to the kitchen and pulled a miscellaneous mess of snacks out- instant ramen, strawberry and matcha pocky, melon candies, and two bottled boba teas, one honey milk flavored and one mango.
tobio smiled at the erratic choices, imagining shōyō's frantic mindset as he ravaged the shelves of a store to find things they'd both like.
shōyō came around the corner and saw all the food laid out on the counter. he smiled softly before saying, "i made sure i got strawberry pocky and the honey milk one because i know they're your favorite flavors."

tobio's smile came slowly but surely, and it was gentle as a feather, akin with his, "thanks."

"no problem," shōyō scratched his head, looking away to avoid showing his pink face to the boy before him.

"are you cold?" tobio asked, noticing the slight color running along the spiker's skin. he thought nothing of it.

"kinda, yeah."

"here, hold on." tobio escaped through a doorway and left shōyō to fend for himself in the bright house.

windows were everywhere, and there were lots of plants living in them. the home was decorated in whites and greens and bamboo browns, and it looked like it had been stolen from a magazine, but still proved to be comfier than any page could portray. he admired the decor until he was startled by a soft object pawing across his feet; he looked down and met eyes with a fluffy little cat, immediately dropping down to pet it. he smiled wide as the kitten pushed its head up into his hand.

"here, take this," tobio said from behind, making shōyō jump. he turned around to see the raven-haired boy standing with a baby grey sweatshirt in his hands, his face a bit bothered.

"oh, thanks!"

tobio struggled with every inch of himself not to blow a fuse when he saw him in it- nearly every blood vessel threatened to burst in the boy's face at the sight of it reaching mid-thigh and past the hands of his spiker.
