Braver than you think

Being the new girl is never great in any situation, ever! But try being the new girl with a set of crazy dudes filming lots of weird stunts!
I'm Y/n, and this is my story.

Friday morning:

"I can do it you know, just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I'm not going to be able to face running away from a few bulls. If you guys can do it, why am I any different?" I'm tired of explaining myself to these guys.

"Look Y/N, it's not that we don't think you can do it, we just don't want you to get scared or be injured, Jeff doesn't think it's a good idea, you're smaller and frailer than us, it's not because you're a girl or anything" Johnny says kindly
Yes I know it could hurt me, but why am I different! I'll show these guys.
"Yeah Y/N, go ahead and do it but try and jump on top of a car or something on set if any of the bulls run towards you"
"Chris I'm not a complete idiot you know, I can do this" I once again explain.

"Okay Jeff!!! I'm ready, I'm going to stand here then I'm going to run in that direction" (towards the cars placed on set) "then I'll hop on top of the car that Ryan is going to hide in"

"We'll okay Y/N, but only if you're sure you aren't going to get hurt"

"Isn't that the whole point of this show?" Bam says laughing and putting his arm around my shoulder.

"Action!" Jeff shouts, I can hear the guys muttering behind me, I know they are worried but they doubt me too much. I look to my right and Jeff is getting the medics on the scene just incase I get hurt. Which I won't. From my left I can hear the stampede of bulls being released form the cage they were brought it. I think it's quite cruel to keep them in that thing to be honest.
Okay, Y/N you can do this. On the count of three just run, come on, I can do this
One, two, thr-
"run Y/n Run!" Steve-o shouts behind me
"Oh shit!" I don't think about it I just run, running as fast as I can, I just need to reach the cars so I can climb on top of them before the bulls end up slamming into me.
My feet are burning and the cars are getting closing in my vision.
Within seconds I can hear the grunts of bulls behind me and several of the boys screaming and laughing as they get hit by the animals.

I finally reach the car and hop on top of it, from where I am I can see Bam and Johnny running into the fake house on set as the bulls follow them in, the ones chasing me quickly lost interest and where more focused on Ryan who ran into the back seat of the car I was on top of.

I can hear in the distance Johnny "Hi! I'm Johnny Knoxville, welcome to Jackass!"

Within minutes the cameras were off, the scene had been filmed and the bulls were been guided back into the cages to be sent back off the farm we got them from.  I was suddenly filled with pride as the boys, Jeff and the whole team were applauding my efforts.
"I told you fuckers I wouldn't get hurt didn't I!" I screamed over to them.

Chris approached me "well that's us never doubting you again, welcome to the team Y/N"
Bam joined his side "yeah you'll fit right in with us"
From beside me I see Weeman approaching "that was amazing Y/N, let's all get some drinks!"

Being the new girl is hard, but it only takes ones to prove yourself to a bunch of crazy, out of their minds men, and you'll never be doubted again.
