Birthday surprise..

It's my birthday! I scamper down the stairs. "There's my little Izuku!" My mom says, smiling, which makes me smile.

I run to her and we hug. "Happy fifth Birthday!" I giggle. My mom goes back to cooking breakfast, and I sit down at the dining table to watch TV. However, I can barely pay attention, I'm too excited!

Kacchan will be coming over later, and I get to meet my moms new boyfriend for the first time! I smile as I see my mom walk over with breakfast. "Are you excited for today?" She asks as she sets my breakfast down in front of me. "Yes! I'm so excited!" I say through a mouthful of pancake. She laughs, and sits down with her plate.

"So, Kacchan will come over with my present, and say happy birthday, then Hisashi will come over and we'll do cake and the rest of the presents!" I continue mumbling to myself, until I hear the doorbell. "It must be Kacchan!" I smile.

My mom opens the door, with me next to her. 'I was right!' Kacchan and his mom stand on the other side. "Hi Kacchan!" I say, smiling. "Hey, Deku. Happy Birthday I guess." He says, walking inside.

"Thanks!" We watch TV for a bit before my mom calls us over. I open Kacchan's present. It's an All Might T-Shirt and some All Might figurines. We thank them and soon they leave.

Only about 30-40 minutes later. The doorbell rings, this time it's Hisashi. I hide behind my moms leg. "Hey Izuku!" He says. "I'm Hisashi!" He smiles and puts out a hand. I shake it nervously. He is pretty tall and muscular.

We do regular birthday stuff, like cake and presents, until my mom has to go to work. "Be safe Izuku! Hisashi will take good care of you!" We hug and she gives me a kiss on the forehead. "Bye mummy!" I say waving as the car pulls away.

I jump a bit, as Hisashi slams the door kind of hard. "So," he says. "I heard you were quirkless." I gulp. "Yeah, I always wanted to be a hero and I still will be! Quirk or no quirk!"

He scoffs and stares at me weirdly. "How can a quirkless wannabe ever be a hero?" My heart drops. "W-what?" He takes a step forward, and I back up a bit, but I'm against a wall.

"You heard me idiot. You're a waste of space. No one wants you." Tears come to my eyes, but before I can say anything, I feel a hard impact on my side and I go flying. I hit the other wall, and it knocks the breath out of me.

Pain is radiating from my side. I scream out, but Hisashi puts his hand over my mouth. "You better not scream or else. Got it?" He warns in a deep serious tone. I nod weakly as tears stream down my face. He scoffs. "So weak.."

He leaves me lying there until my mom gets home, but I don't tell her what happened. I want her to be happy.
