Anime and its industry have played a really, really huge role in my growth, both in mentally and physically. How? Let me share it with you guys. It goes back to my second year in my secondary school days. I met Afifi, my friend, actually, my best friend and he is the one that made me realized my passion for anime. Truthfully, I have started watching anime since seven years old. I remember that I was so into Doraemon and Crayon Shin-Chan's series that was aired on NTV7 during the weekends. After Afifi had recommended a few animes to me, I quickly watch it in secret from my parents. Sword Art Online is my first anime after a few years of hiatus from anything related to anime.

Back to the point of that anime had affected me mentally and physically. Every anime has one kind of stereotype main character that upholds his mettle and kept chasing his dreams no matter what kind of hurdle or challenges that awaits him in the future. Aspired by this kind of thought process, I was absorbed in it and wanted to simulate it in my real, 3D daily life. From being an invisible, turtle-like demeanor, I tried something different from each series of anime that I watched. I tried to apply as a prefect and accepted it. I had practiced discipline and upholding the rules where ever I am. That's until I got out of my school days, sadly. That's my mental department; done.

Physically, anime motivates me to actually try sports that I had never played before in my life. One of them is basketball. Originated from anime Kuroko no Basket, this spark of motivation truly made me realize much more of my body conditioning. Afifi also had played a huge role as my practice buddy altogether with his brother, Wan. I'm pretty much imprinting or following Afifi's choices course of action, only selected a few of them. We played together each evening, exerting ourselves dry trying to imitate the movement that we watched in the anime. Yeah, it was silly, but it was so much fun doing something new, luckily we succeed in recreating some of them. One of them was scoring three-pointers consecutively from outside of the court. Haha, it was our golden days of basketball. I'm totally fond of this particular memory.

Is anime just affecting only my mental and physical? Maybe, maybe not, I'm not so sure about it myself. Oh, one more, I am so into the Japanese language and this interest of my made me so attached to Japanese songs or anime songs. Back in the days, good quality animes are defined through its opening(OP) or ending(ED) songs but nowadays, some good animes are simply unfortunate to have mediocre songs, only some of them. Naruto series itself has tons of good songs as far as I can remember. Let me list some more of anime series with good songs; Fairytail(Egao no Mahou), Fullmetal Alchemist(Uso , Again) and Highschool of the Dead(most of Kurosaki Maon's song are masterpiece).

p/s: I came for the plot and the songs only.

It was fun to type and share my childish thoughts with all of you dear readers, till next time.
