We sit in the cab as it drives past big, tall skyscrapers that were too tall to even see. For a couple of seconds there is an awkward silence until aunt Jessica says, "You don't know me, do you?" She looks at the three of us in disappointment."Well, I heard mum and dad talking about you," said Giorgia.
"Yes, sadly, I used to visit you a lot when you we're little, but you wouldn't remember because your parents stopped letting me come."
Just as Maddi was about to say something, the cab stopped.
"We're here!" Said aunt Jessica excitedly. We get out of the cab and looked up slowly. In front of us stood what looked like a ten storey building.
Jessica led us across the street and into the massive building. The three of us looked up in awe as aunt Jess opened an elevator. We went up to the third floor and Jess pulled a key out of her bag. While she fiddled around with getting it in the lock, Giorgia ran down the hall to find out what was down it.
"Wait up!" I called, chasing after her. I found her standing at the top of a flight of stairs. She burst out laughing and sat on the handrail.
"Come on, Wyatt!" She called, sliding down it. I laughed as well and jumped onto the rail. Halfway down I slipped and fell off, landing on my bum on the stairs. Then I pushed myself forward so I bumped down each step until I reached the bottom.
"Giorgia, Wyatt, come on!" Maddi called from the top of the stairs. Giorgia and I looked at each other then started running up the steps. I shoved her backwards and she slipped, falling over and banging her bum on the stairs.
I just laughed and jumped to the top of the stairs. We waited for Giorgia then walked back down the hallway to aunt Jessica's room.
"Okay. One of you can sleep on the cough, and I'll go out and buy the other two of you an inflatable mattress each." Jess smiled and we nodded in agreement.
"/X/, you're the youngest so you can have the couch," I said.
"You three wait here and I will be back as soon as possible. If anyone calls, don't answer the phone! I'll go get the mattresses. Don't answer the door, don't pick up the phone and don't leave this room. Bathroom's through there if you need it." She waved us goodbye and left, locking the door behind her.
I had to go to the toilet, so I rushed to the bathroom. When I came back, Maddi and Giorgia were sitting on the couch, looking worried.
"What's wrong?" I asked. Maddi just got up and pressed the Messages button on the phone. The latest message started playing.
'Hey Jessica, it's your sister. The kids are missing and I was just wondering if they might have come to you?'
