He has a nightmare.

Dean:

You wake up shivering. Immediately you notice the lack of Dean's presence beside you.

His legs weren't tangled in yours and your head wasn't resting on his firm chest.

You sat up immediately and looked around. He was no where to be found.

You quickly got up and rubbed your eyes tiredly.
Pulling a light sweater over your head, you stumble out of the bedroom.

Heading towards the kitchen, you find Dean hunched over the sink. Water dripping from his face.

Quietly, you rested a hand gently on his shoulder. He spun around quickly to see you standing before him.

His eyes were red and puffy. He'd obviously been crying.

"Oh I just uh-" Dean started before you quickly cut him off.

"Another nightmare?" You asked bluntly. You raised a hand to his cheek and let your thumb run over his tear stained cheek.

"You should've woken me up." You whispered as he nuzzled his face into your hand.

"Y/N, you have to be sick of me waking you up every night over a bad dream." He chuckled, trying to lighten the mood and avoid a chick flick moment.

You ignored it and looked up into his blood shot green eyes.

"Never." You whispered in reply before pulling him into a tight hug.

He never wanted to talk about it, so you didn't ask.
Instead you lead him back to the bedroom where you left him perched on the edge of the bed.

Minutes later, you came back with two steaming cups of tea and handed one of them to him.

His cheeks were red and his short hair was sticking up in every direction.

You grinned at his appearance and climbed into the bed beside him.

He instinctively rested his head down on your chest and let you play with his hair as he relaxed into you.

For the rest of the night you two stayed up and talked about anything and everything while making several more cups of tea.

The next day was almost entirely spent sleeping since you'd stayed up all night. But he didn't have any nightmares, and you were right there in case he did.

Sam:

You woke up to Sam shifting beneath you. You sat up so you were straddling his waist and looking down at him.

He began to let out soft whimpers of pain and shake his head vigorously.

"No, no!" He began to shout. It was now that you realized that he was having a nightmare.

"Sam, Sam! Baby wake up!" You shook his shoulders gently as he woke with a gasp.

Almost immediately he grabbed you by the waist and tugged you down into a way too tight embrace.

"I'm right here Sam, right here." You quietly reassured him as he wept into your shoulder.

"I-I'm glad you're okay." He managed to whine before returning to his gentle sobs.

"I'm fine baby you were dreaming. I'm not going anywhere." You pulled back and smiled reassuringly.

Seeing him cry left you in an emotional state as well. You ran your fingers through his long hair as he positioned himself to sit up.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"You were gone and I couldn't get you back." He simply choked in response. He once again wrapped his big arms around you.

You cupped his face in your hands and kissed him gently. Giggling quietly in the laugh he knew and loved so much.

"I'll never leave you Sammy, I'll always be here. You'll have me no matter what."

He tucked a strand of hair behind your ear and laid back down with you on top of him.

You rested your face in the crook of his neck and wrapped your arms around him comfortingly.

He gripped your waist tightly, as to make sure that you weren't going anywhere.

"Thank you, Y/N. I know I'm hard to deal with. But you couldn't do a better job. I love you so much."

He once again began to choke up and you shushed him with a chuckle.

"I love you too, Moose. I'm always going to be here to deal with your difficult ass."

The two of you slept peacefully throughout the night. On occasion Sam would shift in his sleep, causing you to wake up to see if something was wrong.

But there never was, and he believed it was all thanks to you.

A/N
I forgot to mention that I wasn't putting Cas in this because he doesn't sleep.
Also while writing this I had a huge headache. But if someone requests putting him in or a way to incorporate him in I'll do it.
