Chapter 3:
It was a usual day. Boring class, paperworks in the council, then there's quizzes, and reportings, and project deadlines, "As you can see, base on your guidelines, we are more than qualified to open up our own club. So, I am requesting for the entire fifth floor to be our club room," and there's this.
"Wait, why are you needing the entire fifth floor again?" tanong ko. I wasn't really paying attention earlier because I had a lot of things going in my mind.
"Because it's an introvert club, and introverts needs space." sagot nya habang tinitingnan ako na para bang ako ang pinakatangang tao sa buong kalawakan. Truth is, talking to her made me think I am.
"Leslie, that's actually a very impossible request." I calmly said, trying to be as diplomatic as possible.
"Why?" she asked exasperated.
"Because, first of, you only have like five members in your supposed to be club, which is the minimum number needed. Seco—"
"Iyon nga ang point eh. We are introverts! We wanted to have a space of our own, where we can be in our own world! That's why we need the entire fifth floor!" napangiwi ako dahil sa lakas ng sigaw nya. The other members of the student council turned their gaze on us.
Roger raised an eyebrow, mouthing 'you need help?' but I made a hand gesture to tell them I'm fine. I can't call myself a student leader if I can't even handle this.
I turned my attention back to Leslie determined to finally shut her so called introvert mouth. Though are there really introverts like her?
"Leslie makinig ka. The fifth floor is not a bunch of abandoned classroom that we can easily give off to any clubs. There are classes held there. Advisory rooms! What do you want us to do? Kick out the teachers just so you could have what you want? Kung ayaw nyo sa room na ino-offer namin sa inyo then, mas mabuti pang wag ko nalang aprobahan ang club na ito." I firmly said using my authoritative voice while meeting her glaring eyes.
"I will never vote for you next election!" she angrily said storming out of the room.
"I'm graduating this year tho." I murmured.
I melted on my seat after the encounter, my energy completely drained. The other members looked at me with sympathy.
Being a student council president is really hard!
Ugh! When will this day ever end!
"Uhm, Miss Raia," walang gana kong tiningnan si Jeff na syang pumasok sa pintuan. "Pinapatawag tayong dalawa ni Miss Len."
Medyo nakahinga ako sa narinig. Miss Len is the SSC advisor. Madalang lamang namin sya maka-usap these past few days since she's studying for her doctors degree. Kadalasan, ako lang ang tinatawag nya for updates, and also to talk about activities that the council plans to do during events.
"Okay let's go." I said more quicker than I should have and hang my sling bag on my shoulder.
I just can't wait to escape that hell before more demons appear to torture me.
