2) Getting Out

Zak/Skeppy POV

Ever since Vincent moved here he has been acting weird. He says he saw this shadow thing like I'm supposed to understand what that means. Maybe he's just seeing things. Or maybe he is just overwhelmed by his recent move. Moving can be stressful.

I haven't talked to him for two days so maybe I should call him. I can see how he is doing. I grab my phone to call him, not thinking about the time. He is probably awake anyway.

Vincent/a6d POV

I wake up to an annoying sound. Is that thing back? I look around my room for the demon. Then I remember that the noise is my ringtone for Zak. I pick up the phone and put on my best "I've-been-awake-for-hours" voice.

"H-heloo?" I say groggily. Crap. I sound half dead.

"Vince, are you ok? You sound half dead." Zak asks worriedly.

Why does he sound so concerned? I hope telling him about the demon isn't bothering him.

"Yeaah, I'm finne, but tired. I jusst woge up."

There was a short silence as Zak went to check his clock. "It's 4:18 pm. Why were you sleeping?"

"My sleeep schedule is ffugk up. I haven't slep in 2 dayss."

"Wow. You KNOW Vince is tired when the can't even swear properly."

"Suht up. Whyid you call me anway?"

"I was worried about you. Last time we talked you were telling me about a shadow thing. I wanted to check on you. Ya know, make sure you're ok?"

"That's-" I yawned. "-nice of you." He shouldn't worry about me.

"You're welcome."

"Is that all you wanted?" I asked. I was planning on going back to sleep.

"Ye- WAIT! I have an idea!"

"I am now awake." I say, startled by the sudden loud noise. I guess I'm not going back to sleep.

Typing could be heard on the other side of the phone.

"Maybe you could tell me what you're doing?"

"Hold on."

"For what?"

There was another silence followed by more typing.

"Perfect! He said he can come." Zak said excitedly.

"Who's coming to where?" I ask. I hate it when Zak is vague.

"Darryl and I are gunna come over to you place later so we can hang out and eat dinner or something."

"I never said- whatever. Sure, come over. When though?"

"Hmm. Let me ask."

If my friends are coming over I need to get ready! I start listing off things I need to do.

"HEY! You still there?" Zak yells, breaking me from my thoughts.

"Huh? Yeah I am. When are you coming?"
