Okay. So. It's ten am and I haven't sleep yet. It be like that.
Now, I just wanna start this off by saying; I don't like YandereDev. I used to look up to him and I was once so excited about the game. Tbh, I still kinda am, but not like I used to be. I was in... Middle school I think when it started being worked on. I liked the idea, it was cool, it was fresh (in my mind anyway, I didn't know what a Yandere was) and I absolutely loved the fandom that came with it. And then there came the fall of the Dev. He's a pervert. He's told a little kid to go kill himself. He's actually referenced multiple times that some people should just die. It's taken over six years for this damn game to come out, and Osana isn't even finished. I'd honestly be surprised if the game got finished in the next five years, and even if it did, I feel like it'd be mediocre at best. YandereDev is leaching off his patrons and is sitting pretty at over a couple thousand a month, and it really just makes me so sad to see a game like this just be wasted on an asshole like him. If you don't believe me, I suggest watching this video. There are a lot more in-depth ones if you want the full story, but this is a quick one that still gives you the rundown of everything. Not to mention, the dude is hilarious.
Now that that's out of the way... I'm sure you're wondering. "Why are you making this if you hate the game???"
Well, I don't hate the game. I think the idea is really nice. I think with a different Dev, some actually original assets, and just overall more actual love and work put into it (and a bunch better code, y i k e s), it could turn out to be such a good game. I also still really like the fandom, the part that isn't defending the sucky Dev and has just kinda... pushed him aside. I like the characters. I like the potential it has. I also started writing this when I didn't know of YandereDev's true nature, so that's kinda why this exists in the first place. I started this in my freshman year of high school and worked on it mainly during science class. Now I'm here, in my senior year of high school, stuck in my house cause of the coronavirus, and I'm BORED. I've delved into a few old fandoms of mine, and Yandere Simulator is one of them! I remembered this old idea of mine that never saw the light of day, and I dug it back out. I've edited it a bit, tried to make the pacing a bit better, but freshman me wasn't the... best. She wasn't bad but she certainly wasn't... Good. I can only save so much. The prologue and a good chunk of chapter one aren't the best, but it should get better afterward... Hopefully.
ALSO. I should make this known. I live in America. This isn't going to be a political based story, though I might vent a few issues I have with our government here and there. I'm not saying lets riot in the streets and I'm not saying let's start a revolution. Any and all characters in here are completely fictional--yes, including the president that will inevitably pop up.
Now that that's out of the way... You can think what you want about YandereDev. I can't make you change your mind, even though there's a lot of very hard evidence that is not in this guy's favor. But we don't have to both dislike him for you to read my story. You can still enjoy it, and I hope that you do. I'm actually really proud of this idea, and I've always had such good memories for it that I'm very fond of. I'd like to finally write it and put these ideas to good use. I hope you all can enjoy it as much as I enjoy writing it. And now that that's out of the way; we can finally start!
