Nightfall seemed to arrive too quickly for Miku's comfort. As soon as she arrived back at her apartment, her roommate-turned-best-friend was eager to hear about the events of the night before. The night at Luka's house. Roommates quarrelled over the "fact" that Miku couldn't remember anything and how the tealette shouldn't have gotten aimlessly drunk in the first place. Who was Miku to argue? She knew everything Rin said was right, and she hated it. She hated that she lost her first time to her "best friend", she hated that she was too scared to admit any of the memories she had of the night, and she especially hated how she wasn't repulsed at the idea of sleeping with Luka at all. Sure, both women were far past their adolescent, jittery-hormones stage of life, but Miku couldn't help but entertain the idea of what exactly happened last night without getting the slightest bit flustered. Sitting alone in her bed, the tealette sighed at the noise of Luka's ringtone emitting from her phone. Waiting a few seconds to answer, Miku took that downtime to compose herself. Once the call was answered, she gave her best "hello", trying to sound as cheerful as possible.

"Hey, I just wanted to check on you. Are you home?"

That was odd of her. Usually, Luka would just call to say goodnight, "Yeah, I'm home, thanks for checking." Miku bashed herself for such a terrible response. Back to the question burning in the back of her mind... "So, have you remembered anything?"

"Ah. Yeah, I have."

The silence following after could be struck with a sword and it wouldn't break.

Luka decided to speak up again, "Have you remembered anything?

"No." Miku didn't want to relive any of it, so she lied her way out of the situation.

A sigh was heard from the other end of the call, "I remembered a lot of things. I really think we should talk about-"

"I think I'm going to sleep. Goodnight, Luka."

"Wait, let me just-"

The tealette wouldn't dare let her finish. She didn't want to get into the specifics of the intentions behind their actions, or how much Miku had initiated it. Because their friendship meant so much to both of them, Miku couldn't let it all crumble, and she wouldn't. Under no circumstance would she ever let the details of that night be discussed between them, or anywhere else, for that matter.

Buzz! Buzz!

Two text messages received. Taking longer than usual to read the message, Miku found out the message was from Luka.

I get that you're uncomfortable with talking about this, but I do think we both deserve some kind of closure. If you remember things and you're just hiding it from me, please just let me know.

I don't know if you're actually going to sleep or not, but in case you are then goodnight Miku!

Now, how could the tealette not respond to that? Disregarding the first text message and the beginning of the second one, Miku typed a quick "g'night" and set her phone aside with a heavy sigh.

What a day it had been.
