I didn't let on that I was scared

I glanced back over my shoulder, a couple of strangers were still following me a few meters away, I couldn't make out there features.

Who were they?

I could tell they were men from the heavy clapping of their footsteps

The street was empty, cold and bleak. The lampposts blinking every so often.

I halted, at a shop obviously closed at this time of night and looked at my reflection, they came into view, and they were standing near a lamp post mumbling to each other.

I gasped. They were men as I predicted both of them were amazingly built but one of them really stood out and was ripped with so much muscle you could tell from a distance, he had a pair of blue piercing eyes and silky shoulder-length auburn hair. A black sweater accentuated his broad shoulders, and black jeans hugged his hips and long legs. He was a tall, dark, and handsome... hit man. My God. His friend had mahogany hair and gooey brownie eyes, the odd thing about him was he was wearing a black cape.

As I was gaping I didn't realize that when I gasped they were both staring at me, a thought barged into my head, and maybe they wanted me to hear them earlier.

The guy with a cape took a step towards me the other guy grabbed hold of his arm quickly it looked like a blur. Then the guy with a cape turned his head and stared at him and stood silently.

I knew, I knew I was stupid to come at night.

Damn, all I wanted to do was get Sean his present since his birthday was tomorrow, I only just found out yesterday.

I heard a bloodcurdling noise on the other side of the street and snapped my head towards that direction, I consciously felt my eyes go wide with panic. This is not real. What I saw was frightening the living shit out of me.
