Kageyama x Oikawa's little brother

Now, Kageyama was,by no doubt, nervous but excited nonetheless of the idea of spending dinner with M/n's family.

The idea was made when Kageyama and M/n were hanging out with each other and happened to run by M/n's parents. Of course, they were thrilled to finally seeing the boy their precious M/n has been seeing lately and were delighted at Kageyama.

M/n's face flushed at their commentary and statements as they gushed at the younger couple some more. Revealing stuff as M/n always talking about Kageyama at any given moment and animatedly  speaking about how great the male was.

Kageyama flushed bright red too as he tried to suppress a smile. Of course he too would talk about M/n whenever he could. Mostly he was too shy to share information but it was eventually forced out by his teammates when they pressed. Daichi had tried to get his teammates off the poor first-years back but to no avail.

Even Sugawara was curious upon discovering one of his underclassmen was already involved in a relationship. Often Kageyama secretly went to Sugawara for advice even when the older male didn't have much expirience on being in a relationship himself, he tried.

Shimizu too had helped him a lot whenever he asked her. Told him to be true to himself (a common advice,but he was thankful) and just treasure the male.

So when M/n's parents offered him to have dinner with them, he couldn't seem to refuse. The subtle, anticipating sideway glance M/n gave him wasn't much help either as he stuttered out his answer.

If M/n was delighted to hear that,he didn't show it. Instead,he gave his signiture half smile at Kageyama once they parted with his parents. At the sight, the nervousness he felt upon meeting M/n's parents for the first time seemed to fly away.

It was no surprise that by the time he went home to prepare,he instantly jumped on the bed with his phone in a hurry and contacted Sugawara.

He debated whether to call the male or rather text him. Eventually, he decided it was better off to text him. He doubted he would be able to speak properly through the phone anyways.

Once he sent the message,he waited for a reply and quickly checked the message when Sugawara responded. It wasn't like he didn't have much time yet before the planned dinner,in fact, he had a couple or so more hours.

He was just panicking.

Sugawara: Kageyama whats up? :)))

Kageyama: uhmmm

Kageyama: anoooo...

Sugawara: Chill down and just tell me whatsup Kageyama

Sugawara: Now what happened?? whats wrong??

Kageyama: Sugawara-senpai, do you perhaps know how to pass through a dinner?

Sugawara: ahh...what? I dont... get what you mean sorry

At this, Kageyama knew he was being too imprecise. He needed to be more specific. But just by the mere thought of going to dinner with M/n and his parents sent him in a frenzy of emotions. Nervous, anxious but mostly,delighted.

He sucked in a breath.

Kageyama: M/n's parents asked me to join them for dinner

A pause. It took a while for Sugawara to respond and Kageyama thought that he was left alone to deal with this by himself when Sugawara finally responded. It wasn't quite the response he expected,but he ought to have thought about this reaction beforehand.
