"Anytime now would be perfect." Skya's hands shook as she her held her overnight and school bag in her arms, her forehead was beaded with sweat, brows furrowed with concentration. Skya isn't exactly what you'd call "strong", she's more of the.. fragile, dainty variety, despite being her height. Although if you say that around her, well.. the blood shed would be horrific.

I nodded at her quick, ducking my head back into my bag, my hands burrowing through, searching for my house keys until they clasped around the cool metal and I shoved them into the keyhole, unlocking the front door to my house. Skya let out a long held in sigh and threw her bags onto the a sofa, plopping down carelessly next to them, resting her feet ontop of them. "So." She reached for a blanket and pillow, setting it behind her and wrapping the blanket around her slim shoulders, "Movies and Junk food?"

Venturing into the kitchen I opened the fridge and frowned, practically barren. "uh duh!," I threw over my shoulder to her, she was twisting around to peer at me over the back of the sofa. "Your parents gonna be here?"  "You should know the answer to that by now Sky, dad took mom to San Fran again." I opened the cupboards getting slightly frantic, only pausing when I saw Skya turn around to hide her sympathetic look, "Is it getting easier for her?"  I thought for a moment holding up a box of oreos upside down so I could check the expiration date. Was it getting easier for my mom to adjust to an artificial leg after an accident that left her limbless for a while? Not. at. all.

"Not really, I mean she's trying as hard as she can, and we're all beng supprotive but... it's hard you know?" I threw the box away determing the oreos were well past the number stamped on the bottom. Skya mmhm'ed and nodded, "And how are you dealing.. it's been a year Yasmin since.. you know."  I swallowed, "It's.. fine I guess... Can we not talk about it right now?" Sky gave me a smile, "For sure, Anything you want." I smiled back glad to have a supprotive but not overly pushy friend like Sky, "By the way. We have a problem here. There's no junk food in my house. Whatsoever."

Skyas head whipped towards me so fast I swear I could hear it crack, "None at- OWW!" I groaned and went back into the kitchen getting out an ice pack and handing it to her, observing as she pressed it against her neck and laid back down. "Nope" I popped the p, and leant over grabbing my wallet, putting it away into my back pocket. "I'm guessing you're not coming?" I pointed at her neck.

She shook her head and made a face, "Even if I was in moving condition." I rolled my eyes, and she gave me the stink eye, " I still would'nt go with you, you KNOW I hate that mean old lady at the store, she's nosy, and conndescending and just- ugh! Don't you dare tell me I should respect her, bitch gave me tampons in front of Ryler." She glared at me when I snorted a laugh and I quickly apologized, laughing harder when I could hear her grumbling about old ladies needing to get laid as I closed the door behind me heading out.

Walking down the driveway and onto the sidewalk, I was glad the it was still only early October, the air was cool and smelt like honeysuckle and maple, but despite the sweet atmphosphere I shivered as my thoughts turned back to what Skya said, I was fine, the only thing that ever really got to me where the looks. No matter where I want i'd get them, but only when people thought I wasn't looking. Only people who really don't look at me that way were my friends. A smile grew on my face thinking of them, I was lucky to have them. All of them.
