E shot out of bed, when her electronic wristband that was connected to her anomaly detector, shocked her awake.
It was still dark around her, so she could tell that it was late, but this didn't stop her from heading over to her bag that sat on a chair in the corner of the room.
This bag always remained packed at all times, in case E had to leave at a moments notice.
After spending all of her life hopping from one place to another, E wasn't used to living in one place for too long. Which is why she always kept a bag packed with some of her belongings.Once she'd found what she was looking for in her bag, E sighed.
This was the third time she had been alerted to an issue by her wristband in the past few days. And all these issues were coming from the same place.
Despite telling her friends at the ARC that it was nothing, when they noticed her wristband vibrating violently, E knew exactly what it meant. And it was not good news.
E had homes all over the world, and one place in particular was calling her back to it.
She knew that she had no choice but to accept the summons, or risk causing a huge disaster by her absence. After finding a piece of paper and a pen, E wrote Matt a note, that she knew he would find in the morning.
She then dressed herself, picked up her bag, and created an anomaly to the place that was calling her.
E sighed as she took one last look around her bedroom in Matt's flat, and she just prayed that she would live to see it again.
Knowing that she couldn't afford to delay any longer, E stepped through the anomaly and disappeared from sight.
