Chapter 9

Sam was in shock, he couldn't feel anything nor could he do anything but he was awake. He was also very drugged up on medications to keep him alive. He could only open his eyes a peak and look around but not for too long or he would get extremely tired. He couldn't remember what had happened, he saw his mom walk in as she smiles, along with his brother and Colby. He was shocked that Colby was there but he felt at ease enough to let the medication consume him. He fell asleep as his mom gently strokes his cheek. Colby gently set his hand on Sam's arm as he gasped quietly, feeling how warm he was. The doctor came in as he smiled seeing how many people were their for him.

'So Sam is just in a temporary shock, he has hypothermia but he will recover as soon as wednesday.'

The doctor says as his mother nods, Colby felt the guilt starting to nag at him, he was pulled out of his mind by Sam's mom nudging him.

'Huh?'

He says as the doctor smiles and repeats the question.

'How did this happen, I need to fill out a report.'

He says as he sighs and bites his lip harshly.

'I don't know I just found him outside..'

He says quietly as Sam's  mom jumps in.

'He's an active sleepwalker, I wasn't surprised cause this kind of thing happened before.'

She says as Colby's brother nods, he sighed knowing the real truth as a tear slipped his eye. Once the doctor walks out Sam's mom lets out a loud sigh as she leaves the room. Colby stares down at Sam as Sam's brother looks at Colby as he pushes him against the wall.

'Sam hasn't sleep walked since he was five, tell me what really fucking happened!'

He whispers as Colby groans out in pain feeling the sharp chipped paint against his back.

'It was my dad okay..'

He says as Sam's brother pushes him harder as Colby lets out another groan.

'Okay then why didn't you tell the doctor that?'

He says Colby stutter.

'I-I couldn't, my dad would've killed me.'

Colby says quietly as his brother lets him go.

'I know what you're all about Colby. Take girls, make them fall in love with you and then you cut them off. I heard all about..poor Melissa huh.'

He hisses as Colby looks down, remembering what had happened with her.

'That wasn't my fault she did that to herself'

Sam's brother pushes him again.

'Oh so it wasn't your fault that she-'

Sam's mom walks in and sighs, she grabs Sam's brother and leads him out. Colby sighed as he looks down at Sam.

'I'm so so sorry..'

He says quietly as he gently presses his lips against Sam's forehead. He sits down next to Sam as he holds his hand tightly as he stares at Sam's beautiful complexion, his bright blue eyes that sparkle when lights hits it, the way his cute button nose gets all red when he blushes, his contagious smile. God he was perfect Colby thought.

'I'll protect you with everything I can even if it means..'

Colby inhales sharply as he held Sam's hand.

'If I have to kill someone.'

He says as he heard the doctor come in.

'I'm sorry but you need to leave.'

He says politely as Colby nods and gets up. He looks down at Sam as he gently presses his lips against Sam's forehead as he whispers in Sam's ear.

'I love you Sam Golbach.'

He says quietly as he walks out of the room as he walks over to his mom.

'He's alive and he's getting better.'

He says as she lets out a sigh of relief.

'Lets just hope he's up and standing Wednesday.'

He says quietly as his sister and mom agrees. They walk out and back home.
