✯ How he asked you to be his girlfriend ✯

Draco:

It took him some time, to officially ask you to be his girlfriend. At first he thought he didn't need to, because, well, even though you both did not make it official, it was obvious, that there was something special between you too. The other students weren't able to miss it.

After Draco managed to get you to go out with him, he took every chance possible, to show other people, that you were his. He held your hand every time he could, he walked you to your classes and spent time in the library with you, though he definitely didn't have too. You knew he was smart but he was way smarter, than you anticipated. Spending time with you also meant, he had less time to torment other students, but you already made it clear to him, that you wouldn't be around for long, if he didn't stop that.

Draco realized that he was missing someone like you. You gave him the sunshine, while it had been raining his entire life. Draco was ready to do everything for you to be at his side. He thought no one would dare to touch you but he acknowledges that it was his mistake. He never told you what you meant to him, he thought it was obvious.

Well, you didn't want to get your hopes up and just answered, "A good friend", when someone asked what Draco was to you. As a result some Ravenclaw boy thought that since it's nothing official, he would have a shot and asked you out for date.

You were in the library picking out your next book, as the Ravenclaw boy approached you. You knew what was coming, your friends warned you, but you didn't believe them. But now? He was actually going to do it, unbelievably so since Draco was shooting daggers at every boy, who looked at you longer than a second.

„Would you shove off from my girlfriend? Or do I have to kill you right now?" Draco was coming over to you two now, hearing your conversation from the other side of the book shelf. The Ravenclaw was ready to fight back, but the look in Draco's face told him there may be an actual chance of dying and he marched straight out of the library.

„I know that this is my fault." Draco was looking at you, his gaze now soft. „This is not really romantic, and I swear to Merlin, I will make this up to you, but y/n, will you be my girlfriend?"

You smiled at him, there was no way, you could say no to this face.

Fred:

After your date in Hogsmeade, Fred walked you back to the castle, his hand casually brushing against yours. You couldn't help but feel a little disappointed that the day was over. You had enjoyed spending time with Fred so much, and you didn't want it to end. As you reached the entrance to the Gryffindor common room, he turned to face you.

„y/n," he said, his eyes meeting yours. "I had a really great time with you today."

"Me too, Fred," you replied, feeling a flutter in your stomach.

He took a deep breath, seeming a bit nervous. "Listen, I know we've been really good friends for a long time, but... I was wondering if you wanted to make this official. You know, be my girlfriend?"

You felt a rush of excitement and nerves all at once. "I... I don't know, Fred," you said, feeling a bit unsure.

He looked at you, concern on his face. "Is something wrong? Did I read things wrong?"

"No, it's not that," you said, taking a deep breath. "It's just... I don't want to ruin our friendship. What if things don't work out?"

Fred smiled gently. „y/n, we've been best friends for years. We know each other better than anyone else. And if things don't work out, we'll still be friends. I promise. I don't want to rush things or anything, but I really like you, y/n. And I want to see where this could go."
