There was a sound, like fluttering wings, and the demon's eyes blew out in a white light, the other demon was next. Before Meg, stood Castiel.
"Is it just me, or is there concern in those blue puppy eyes?" Meg asked sarcatically, grunting as she attempted to stand.
"This is no time for jokes. Are you alright?" He asked.
Meg's eyebrows shot up and she put a hand on the closest thing to help her up. Unfortunately her hand landed on an unsturdy shelf and it broke. The floor was suddenly really close as she fell ut she felt somehing on her arms. She looked up to see that Castiel had caught her and she smirked. He helped her stand, steadying her. She stood for abot five seconds on her own then she began to sway and he held her up, one of her arms aound his broad shoulders.
"I'm fine Clarence." She said with a smile.
He was not convinced. With a flutter of his wings he reappeared at his own apartment. He dropped her down on the bed and she pulled herself up to sit against the board. She felt fine really, bt the attention from Castiel was amusing. He had his back to her and he was just...standing there. As if, thinkig of what to do. She laughed quietly and he turned to her, a quizical look on his face.
"What is funny Meg? Are alright?" He asked, hsi gravelly voice making her melt slightly.
"Like I told you, I'm fine." She said, standing and doing a small bow.
"Good." He said, then he opened the door. "Then you can leave."
He didn't want to be cold to her but right now he needed to be alone with himself. No one should be at his place now, espiacally not her. She sighed and shrugged.
"Bye." She said before disappearing.
Castiel sat down in the chair across from the bed and sat forward, his elbows on his knees. Dean wouldn't be happy if he found out that Castiel had just saved Meg's life....or if he found out Castiel was thinking about her at all....he narrowed his eyes at the wall and contemplated leaving and going to find Meg. Meg had helped them out several times...she had saved Dean's life once and....He shook his head slightly. Dean wouldn't care about any of that if Meg showed up. To him she was a demon, and that's all that mattered. But to Castiel Meg was...more. Way more. He sighed, Sam was the smart and more sensible one. Maye even the more dangerous one...maybe he could convince Dean that Meg was good. He shook his head and stood. What was he doing? He didn't even know if Meg liked him, never mind if he truelly had feelings for the demon.
